KIKO | 02 Addictive Song Palette

¡Feliz viernes, chicas! Hoy vengo con mi adquisición de las rebajas de Kiko: la paleta 02 Addictive Song, de la colección Boulevard Rock. El diseño de esta colección no me gustó, me parecía un poco "choni", pero esta paleta me encanta, y el producto en sí merece totalmente la pena.

Happy Friday, you girls! Today I come to show you my last purchase from Kiko: the 02 Addictive Song palette, from the Boulevard Rock collection. I don't like the design of this collection, I find it quite taky, but I love this palette, and the product itself is totally worth it.

El packaging es sólido, y viene con un espejo de buen tamaño dentro.

The packaging is sturdy, and it comes with a good sized mirror inside.

Estas son las cinco sombras de ojos que incluye la paleta: una sombra para iluminar tipo el iluminador Albatross de Nars, un camel mate muy similar al Salted Caramel de la Chocolate Bar, un rosa salmón mate, un burdeos mate, y un marrón con shimmer dorado/anaranjado. 

These are the five eyeshadows that are included on the palette: a highlighting eyeshadow similar to Nars' Albatross highlighter, a matte camel shade very similar to Salted Caramel from the Chocolate Bar palette, a matte salmon pink, a matte burgundy, and a brown with golden/orange shimmer.

La pigmentación de las sombras es flipante. Aquí podéis ver los swatches de Nikkie Tutorials, que fue la que me hizo enamorarme de la paleta (los archivos de las fotos que hice yo están corruptos... pero intentaré volver a hacer los swatches en cuanto pueda, sorry!).

The pigmentation of the eyeshadows is amazing. Here you can see the swatches by Nikkie Tutorials, who was the person who made ​​me fall in love with this palette (the files of the pictures I took are corrupted... but I'll try to redo my swatches as soon as possible, sorry!).

Haul Kiko - Rebajas (Verano 2013)

Empezaré por el esmalte que compré para la boda de mi prima, el 281 Mango. Es un tono precioso que iba a juego con las tiras del vestido. Ahora mismo lo tenéis en tiendas a 1'50€.

I will start with the nailpolish that I bought for my cousin's wedding, the 281 Mango. It's a beautiful shade that matched the dress straps. Right now, you have it in stores at a price of 1'50 €.

Es muy pigmentado, y cubre perfectamente con una capa.

Lo siguiente que compré es un pigmento de la colección Colors in the World, el 28 Sunny Coral, y si mal no recuerdo, me costó unos 2'90€.

The next thing I bought is a pigment from the Colors in the World collection, the 28 Sunny Coral, and if I recall, it cost about €2'90.

El bote contiene 6 gramos, y tiene un tono precioso, perfecto para verano. Por el precio que tiene ahora mismo, os recomendaría conseguirlo si todavía fuese posible. Podéis ver un swatch en movimiento en Instagram.

Mi compra preferida fue el Long Lasting 28 Intentional Bright Ivory. Se trata de una sombra en stick en un tono beige con brillos dorados.

My favorite purchase was the Long Lasting 28 Intentional Bright Ivory. It is an eyeshadow stick in beige with gold glitter.

Da muchísima luminosidad a cualquier look, y queda muy natural. Lo utilizo tanto solo como de prebase para sombras, puesto que no me saca pliegues. De hecho, compré dos sticks iguales, puesto que al ser de colección, van a ser retirados. Cada uno costó 3'40€.

It gives lots of luminosity to any look, and is very natural. I use it either alone or as a primer for eyeshadows, since it stays without creasing. In fact, I bought two sticks the same shade, since being a collection, they will be discontinued. Each one cost €3'40.

También compré un Glow Touch Lips & Cheeks en el tono 02 Icy Watermelon. La lata era una auténtica pesadilla, tuve que pasar un par de días abriendo y cerrando la lata hasta que conseguí que fuese más fácil, puesto que están durísimas.

I also bought a Glow Touch Lips & Cheeks in the shade 02 Icy Watermelon. The can was a real nightmare, I had to spend a couple of days opening and closing the can until it started to be easier, since they are so harsh.

El producto sirve tanto para labios como para mejillas, y deja un aspecto muy jugoso en la piel. Los tenéis ahora por 2'90€.

You can use this product both on lips and cheeks, and it looks quite juicy on the skin. The now have €2'90.

Por último, aproveché que tenían la Super Color Mascara 09 a 2€, y me la llevé para probar, puesto que tuve una morada, pero se me secó en apenas una semana. Creo que es de colección, porque en la web sólo aparece hasta el número 08. Las Super Color Mascara, con el 30%, se os quedarían a 4'13€. Podéis ver cómo quedan en Instagram.

Finally, since they had the Super Color Mascara 09 at 2 €, I bought it to try, since I had the purple one, but it got dry in just one week. I think that it it's from a collection, because on the website I just can see this mascaras 'till the 08. The Super Color Mascaras, with the 30% off, would cost €4'13. The Clone Wars - Star Violet (Mac)

Os traigo una entrada exprés que no tenía pensada, pero, ya que la sombra de Kiko de la que voy a hablar está a tan sólo 1'90€, y se rumorea que va a ser descatalogada, he pensado que era un buen momento.
El producto del que vamos a hablar hoy es la sombra Star Violet de Mac, y la 136 Pearly Bordeaux de Kiko. Yo tenía la 136 de Kiko, y mi prima me regaló su Star Violet porque no la usaba, por lo que al final me junté con las dos sombras. ¿Qué mejor que un cara a cara entre las dos, y que decidáis vosotras mismas si son clones o no? ¡Allá vamos!

I bring you express entry that I didn't plan, but, as the eyeshadow from Kiko of which I speak is only €1.90 now, and there are rumors that say that it's going to be discontinued, I thought it was a good time.
The product that we are going to talk about today is the famous Star Violet eyeshadow by Mac, and Kiko's 136 Pearly Bordeaux. I had the 136 from Kiko, and my cousin gave me her Star Violet because she didn't use it, so I finally got together with the two eyeshadows. What better than a face-off between the two, to judge yourselves if they are dupes or not?

Ambas sombras vienen en su cajita (la de Mac la podéis comprar en godet), aunque en mi caso, tengo la 136 depotada, metida dentro de mi paleta de Neve Cosmetics.
La de Mac contiene 1'3gr. de producto, versus la de Kiko, con sus 3 gramos (¡más del doble!), y la primera cuesta 14€ en godet y 17'50€ en formato normal (¿es cosa mía o Mac se ha subido mucho a la parra con los precios? la última vez que estuve creo recordar que los godets eran unos 11€...), mientras que, como ya he dicho, la de Kiko cuesta ahora mismo 1'90€.

Both eyeshadows come in their box (you can buy the Mac one in godet), although in my case, I have the 136 depoted, tucked into my Neve Cosmetics palette.
The Mac one contains 1'3gr. of product, versus the one from Kiko, with 3 grams (more than double!), and the first costs €14 in godet, and €17'50 in the normal format (is it just me, or Mac has increased a lot their prices? the last time I went, I remember that they were about €11...), while, as I said, the one from Kiko now costs €1'90.

Como podéis ver, la de Mac tiene un puntito más violáceo, con unos destellos preciosos, mientras que la de Kiko tiende más al marrón, y no tiene esos destellos.

As you can see, the Mac one looks a bit more purple, with beautiful blinks, while the one form Kiko tends to brown, and doesn't have that blinks.

Aquí tenéis el swatch: como veis, aunque los colores son muy similares, la de Mac tiene unos destellos preciosos que la de Kiko no tiene. 

Here's the swatch: as you see, although the colors are really similar, the Mac one has some precious blins while the Kiko hasn't.

Según la luz, la de Mac se mantiene brillante, mientras que la de Kiko se ve con un brillo satinado. Además, como ya imaginaréis por el precio, he de decir que la de Mac tiene mejor calidad y pigmentación, y dura más puesta.

Depending on the light, the Mac one remains more bright, while the Kiko has more a satin finish. In addition, as you may imagine for the price, I must say that the Mac one has better quality and pigmentation, and lasts longer on.

Conclusión: A pesar de que a mi me parecen sombras similares pero diferentes, no repondría la de Mac por el simple hecho de que Mac testa en animales. Por cantidad/precio, gana la de Kiko por goleada, aunque siendo sincera, el color de la Star Violet me parece más especial.
¿Qué decís vosotras, clones, o no?

Conclusion: Even though I think they're similar shades but different, I would not purchase again the Mac one for the simple fact that Mac tests their products on animals. For quantity/price, Kiko obviously wins, though to be honest, the color of the Star Violet seems more special to me.

Favoritos - Julio '13

Llegó Agosto, así que es el momento de mostrar mis favoritos de éste Julio del 2013. Me ha costado bastante no incluir algún producto más, pero he intentado ser lo más selectiva posible. ¡Espero que os gusten!

August has finally arrived, so it's time to show you my favorites from this July 2013. It was so hard to make the selection this month without including more products, but I tried to be as selective as possible. I hope you like them!

Empezaré con mis favoritos para ojos, que son tres.
En primer lugar, está la paleta 'Au Naturel' de Sleek. La tenía prácticamente nueva, ya que al guardarla dentro de su caja en un cajón, siempre me daba pereza usarla, pero decidí sacarla en Julio, y creo que no ha habido día en que no la haya utilizado. Nougat (el primero) es un tono perfecto para iluminar cuando quiero usar una sombra mate, aunque he estado variando entre ésta y la sombra Coco de Neve Cosmetics. El tono HoneyComb (cuarto de la primera fila) lo he usado mucho para igualar el tono del párpado, y el Regal (penúltimo de la fila inferior) para dar profundidad al ojo. Saqué la paleta para no darle tantísimo tute a la Naked Basics de Urban Decay, y la verdad es que me tiene enamorada, y es una paleta muy cómoda a la que recurrir para looks de diario.

El siguiente producto para ojos es el Long Lasting nº28 de Kiko, de la última edición limitada que sacaron. Me gustó tantísimo que ya tengo un repuesto para cuando deje de venderse en las tiendas. He recurrido mucho a él para looks más sencillos, acompañándolo de un delineado negro, o para usarlo como base para las sombras de ojos, ya que no me saca pliegues. Todavía podéis encontrarlo en tiendas, así que os recomiendo que os hagáis con uno, porque al precio que están (3'40€) no los podéis dejar pasar.

Por último, he estado muy obsesionada con una de las últimas sombras que sacaron en Makeup Geek: Hipster. Tengo pendiente una entrada con swatches de las nuevas sombras y pigmentos, e intentaré subirla pronto para que podáis ver todo, porque sé que os van a encantar las cosillas.

I'll start with my favorites for eyes, which are three.
The first one, is the 'Au Naturel' palette by Sleek. It was practically new, because I was storing it in its box in a drawer, so I always was too lazy to use it, but I decided to take it out in July, and I think there hasn't been day since then where I haven't used this palette. Nougat (the first one) is a perfect shade to highlight when I want to use a matte shade, although I have been varying between that one and the shadow Coco from Neve Cosmetics. I've used a lot the shade HoneyComb (fourth in the first row) to unify the color of my eyelids, and Regal (penultimate bottom row) to give depth to the eye. I took out the drawer the palette to give a rest to the Naked Basics by Urban Decay, and the truth is that I have fallen in love with it, and is a very comfortable palette to use it on a daily basis.

The next eye product is the Long Lasting No.28 by Kiko, from the latest limited edition that they had. I liked it so very much that I have bought an extra one for when they stop being sold in stores. I relied heavily on it for the simpler looks, accompanied by a black eyeliner, or to use it as a base for eye shadow, as this one does not crease on me. You can still find it in stores, so I recommend you to buy one, because for the price they have right now (3'40 €) you can not pass up.

Finally, I have been obsessed with one of the last shadows from Makeup Geek: Hipster. I have a pending entry with swatches of their new eyeshadows and pigments, and I will try to upload it soon so you can see everything, because I know you will love their new stuff.

Pasando a rostro, como sabréis si me seguís por las redes sociales, he estado probando varios autobronceadores, por lo que los polvos bronceadores y con algo de color se han convertido en productos indispensables para mi.
El primero son los Terre Glamour XXL de Chen Yu en el tono 001 Bronzé Cuivré. Los he estado usando a diario para subir el tono de la BB Cream, para contornear, o simple y llanamente como polvos bronceadores.
También he estado usando muchísimo mis Sun Protect Beblesh Pact de Skin79. Me quedaban oscuros, pero gracias a mi "falso moreno" les estoy pudiendo dar mucho amor éste mes. Son ideales para llevar en el bolso y retocarnos fuera de casa, y además tienen protección solar.

On the face products, as you may know if you follow me on the social networks, I've been testing several self-tanners, so bronzing powders and non-ghost powders have become indispensable to me.
The first ones are the Terre Glamour XXL by Chen Yu, in the shade 001 Bronzé Cuivré. I've been using this every day to darken the color of the BB Cream, for contouring, or just as a simple bronzing powder.
I've also been using a lot my Sun Protect Beblesh Pact by Skin79. It was too dark for me, but thanks to my "fake tan" I am able to give a lot of love to them this month. They are ideal to carry in your purse and touch up on the way, and they also have sun protection.

Respecto a labios, he estado usando muchísimo el labial 106 de Chen Yu, un rojo cereza muy hidratante que da un aspecto jugoso a los labios.
También he recurrido a diario a mi Lip Lube Margarita (vegano) de Apple Island Naturals. De hecho, lo que veis en la foto es lo que me queda de producto, ¡ya casi lo he terminado! Es uno de los mejores bálsamos que he probado, 100% natural, y con una mezcla de aceites esenciales de pomelo y lima que me encantan para verano.

As for lips, I have been using a lot the lipstick 106 by Chen Yu, a very moisturizing cherry red that gives a juicy appearance to the lips.
I have also used daily my Lip Lube Margarita (vegan) by Apple Island Naturals. In fact, what you see in the picture is what is left of my product, I've almost finished it! It is one of the best balms I've tried, 100% natural, and with a mixture of essential oils of grapefruit and lime that I love for summer.

Nunca había mencionado una fragancia en el blog, pero ésta de Etnia, inspirada en el barrio Omotesando de Tokyo, me parece una fantástica primera mención. La compré en la tienda de Valencia a principios de mes, y desde entonces no he parado de usarla. No soy muy buena describiendo olores, así que os dejo lo que indican en la tienda:
"Sus notas de salida son Notas Verdes, Acordes Florales y Limón de Calabria. Sus notas de corazón son Jazmín, Rosa Búlgara, Manzana y Acordes frutales. Sus notas de fondo son Ámbar, Cedro y Maderas preciosas."

Vamos, que huele genial, es fresquita y perfecta para verano. ¡Me encanta!

I had never mentioned a fragrance on the blog before, but this one by Etnia, inspired by the Omotesando district of Tokyo, it's a great first mention, I think. I bought it on their store in Valencia earlier this month, and since then I have not stopped using it. I'm not very good at describing scents, so I will copy and paste why they say about it:
"Their beginning notes are Green Notes, Floral Chords and Lemon from Calabria. Their heart notes are Jasmine, Bulgarian Rose, Apple and Fruit Chords. Their background notes are Amber, Cedar and Precious Wood."
So basically, it smells great, it's nice and cool and perfect for summer. Love it!

No podía hacer un post de favoritos de verano sin mencionar mi protector solar preferido para el rostro, en éste caso el Perfect UV Protection de Skin79, con SPF50+ PA+++. No me deja el rostro graso, y se puede aplicar tanto debajo como encima de la BB Cream (sí, sí, ¡encima!), lo cual es comodísimo para retocar nuestra protección a lo largo del día sin tener que desmaquillarnos.

I could not make a summer favorites post without mentioning my favorite sunscreen for the face, in this case the Perfect UV Protection by Skin79, with SPF50+ PA+++. It doesn't leave a greasy feeling on my face, and can be applied both under and above the BB Cream (yes, above too!), which is extremely comfortable to touch up our protection throughout the day without having to remove our makeup.

Por último os dejo un favorito un poco random, pero que ha sido un salvavidas para mi ésta última semana. Es una pinza para el pelo de una tienda monísima que descubrí en Madrid llamada Hosten, y aunque hay gente que dice que no le gusta la pinza, y gente que dice que sí, el caso es que a mi me encanta, y me resulta muy cómoda para recogerme el pelo en éstos días de calor insufrible.

Finally I have to mention a very random favorite, but it has been a lifesaver for me this past week. It's a cute hair clip from a nice store that I discovered in Madrid called Hosten, and although some people say they do not like the clip, and people who say yes, the fact is that I love it, and I find it very comfortable to hair up in these days of unbearable heat.

Favoritos - Junio '13

Hoy os traigo mis favoritos de Julio. He estado usando mucho algunos productos que tenía abandonadillos, y otros nuevos, ¡espero que os gusten!

Today I bring you my June's favorite products. I've been using a lot some products that I forgot using for quite a while, and some new products, I hope you like them!

La Glamour Sponge ha sido mi herramienta preferida para aplicar el maquillaje durante el mes de Junio. Tengo pendiente hacer un review completo de la misma, pero me gusta muchísimo como aplica el producto. La forma es similar a la Thin Sponge de Skin79, solo que ésta aumenta su tamaño al ser humedecida. Cuando tengo muchas prisas suelo recurrir a la Thin Sponge, ya que resulta mucho más sencilla de limpiar, pero cuando puedo permitirme un poquillo más de tiempo, uso la Glamour Sponge. Además, al humedecerla resulta muy agradable en el rostro en éstos días de calor. 

The Glamour Sponge has been my favorite tool for applying makeup during the month of June. I have to do a full review on it yet, but I really like how it applies the product. The shape is similar to the Thin Sponge by Skin79, very ergonomic, but this one increases its size when wet, while the Thin Sponge doesn't. When I'm a big hurry I use the Thin Sponge instead, since it is much faster to clean, but when I can afford a little bit more time, I use the Glamour Sponge. Moreover, it feels very nice when moisten on the face in these hot days.

Mi piel ha estado muy rebelde últimamente. Me han salido bastantes granitos, supongo que en parte a que he estado descuidando mi alimentación. El Aceite de Árbol de Té ha sido mi gran aliado para secar los granitos más rápidamente, y he tenido que aplicarlo prácticamente día sí y día también.

My skin has been very rebellious lately. I have many pimples, I guess in part because I've been neglecting my diet. The Tea Tree Oil has been my great ally to dry pimples quite faster, and I had to practically apply it day in and day out.

Mi labial preferido y al que más he recurrido es el Dolce Vita de NARS. Deja un acabado muy natural en mis labios, y me resulta cómodo de llevar. En ésta última semana he recurrido diariamente a otro de MUA, pero al no haberlo usado durante todo el mes, sería un poco trampa, aunque estoy segura de que saldrá en mis favoritos del próximo mes.
Para mi, es el labial perfecto para diario, y si os gustan los labios con un look natural, tenéis que probar éste.

My favorite lipstick and the one that I've been reaching the most is NARS Dolce Vita. It leaves a very natural finish on my lips, and I find it comfortable to wear. On this day last week I turned to another one by MUA, but I have not used it throughout the month, so I would be cheating if I showed it here, but I'm sure it will come in next month's favorites.
To me, it's the perfect lipstick for everyday, and if you like the lips with a natural look, you need to try it.

Este mes no he usado demasiado a los iluminadores, a decir verdad, pero siempre que lo he hecho ha sido a éste de Skin79 del que os hablé con anterioridad. Es una preciosidad, y queda muy bonito en pieles pálidas, ya que no tira a amarillento, dorado o rosa, como hacen gran parte de los iluminadores del mercado.

This month I have not used highlighters too much, actually, but whenever I have applied one, it was this one from Skin79, of which I spoke earlier. It's gorgeous, and looks nice on pale skin because it does not throw a yellow, gold or pink, as do many of the highlighters that we can find in the market.

En cuanto a coloretes, he recurrido muchísimo a éste colorete en crema de MUA, en el tono Bittersweet. Aguanta bastante bien en la piel, y deja un tono muy saludable. Como veis, es muy rosa, aunque también he estado utilizando otro tono que me llegó hace poquito y es más "natural" para pieles con subtonos más amarillentos. Por el precio que tienen, me parecen geniales.

As for blush, I have reached a lot to this cream blush by the UK brand MUA in the shade Bittersweet. It lasts well on the skin, and makes me look very healthy. As you can see, it is very pink, although I have also been using another shade that I recently got which is a bit more "natural" for skin with more yellow undertones. For the price they have, they are great.

Mi sombra para iluminar más usada durante Junio ha sido la 168 de Kiko, un blanco perlado muy bonito que queda genial en el lagrimal para abrir la mirada. La tenía muy abandonada, por lo que la depoté y la pasé a mi paleta de Neve Cosmetics para tenerla más a mano, al igual que he ido haciendo con otras de mis sombras de Kiko. Al tenerlas depotadas todas en una misma paleta, me resulta mucho más cómodo utilizarlas.

My most used highlighting eyeshadow during June was the 168 from Kiko, a very nice pearly white that looks great on the tear to open the eyes. I had it quite abandoned, so I depoted it and put it on my Neve Cosmetics palette to have it at hand, as I've been doing with my other Kiko eyeshadows. Having them depoted all in one palette, I find it much more comfortable to use them.

Pero sin duda, la sombra que más he utilizado durante el mes es la 410 de CATRICE. Me encanta ésta sombra, y he estado completamente obsesionada con ella. Tiene un tono muy especial, y os recomendaría añadirla a vuestra colección si todavía no la tenéis.

But undoubtedly my most I used eyeshadow during the month was the CATRICE 410. I love this shade, and I've been completely obsessed with it. It has a very special color, and I recommend adding it to your collection if you haven't yet.

Como base, mi preferida sigue siendo la BB Cream Vital Orange de Skin79, pero como he estado probando distintos productos durante el mes, y no la he usado mas que un par de veces, no podía incluirla en los favoritos de Junio. Otro producto que faltaría sería mi amada Naked Basics, a la que he vuelto a recurrir casi a diario, pero no quería repetirme demasiado, y por eso no la incluí en los favoritos del mes.

As a foundation, my favorite is still the Vital Orange BB Cream by Skin79, but as I've been trying different products over the month, and I have not used it more than a few times, so I could not include it in the list of June. Another product that should be here is be my beloved Naked Basics, which I use almost daily, but I did not want to repeat myself too much, and so did not include it in this month's favorites.
