The Clone Wars | Naked 2 (Urban Decay)

¡¡Os traigo un nuevo post para La Guerra de los Clones!! Esta vez os comparo la Naked 2 de Urban Decay con la paleta In The Buff de W7, a la venta en El Outlet del Maquillaje. A primera vista, el parecido es claro, pero vamos a ver si realmente son clones o no. El precio de la paleta de Urban Decay ronda los 48€, mientras que la de W7 no llega a los 8€...

The Clone Wars are back!! 
This time I will be comparing the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette with W7's In The Buff palette, on sale at El Outlet del Maquillaje. At first glance, the resemblance is evident, but we'll see if they really are dupes or not. The price of Urban Decay's palette is around €48, while the W7's one is less than €8...

En cuanto a grosor, la de W7 (abajo) es un pelín más gruesa, y mucho más ligera, aunque en este caso, me gusta más el peso de la paleta original.

As for the thickness, the one by W7 (below) is a tad thicker and much lighter, although in this case, I like the weight of the original palette better.

Cuando las abrimos, podemos observar que claramente se trata de un clon de la Naked 2: los tonos son prácticamente iguales, incluso tienen la misma disposición dentro de la paleta. En el caso de la de Urban Decay, la paleta viene con una brocha doble, mientras que en uno de los lados de la de W7, lo que viene es una esponja.

When we open the palettes, we can see that it clearly is a dupe of the Naked 2 palette: the shades appear to be virtually identical, and they even have the same positions in the palettes. In the case of Urban Decay, the palette comes with a double brush, while in W7, one of the sides of the double brush is a sponge.

Ahora vamos con los swatches. A la izquierda tenéis la sombra de UD, y a la derecha la de W7. Vamos a comparar: 

FOXY vs. BUFF - Iguales. 

HALF BAKED vs. CAMEL - Camel es notablemente más oscura.

BOOTYCALL vs. SAND - Casi iguales. Sand pigmenta menos, y tiene algunos microdestellos.

CHOPPER - DUST - Diferentes. Chopper es más clara, más anaranjada y mucho más brillante.

Now lets start with the swatches. On the left we have the eyeshadows by UD, and on the right the ones by W7. Let's compare:

FOXY vs. BUFF - Same.

HALF BAKED vs. CAMEL - Camel is noticeably darker.

BOOTYCALL vs. SAND - Almost dupes. Sand is less pigmented, and has some small glimmer.

CHOPPER vs. DUST - Different. Chopper is lighter, more orange, and brighter .

SNAKEBITE vs. TOPAZ - Topaz es un pelín más clara, y más dorada.

SUSPECT vs. EARTH - Earth tiene una base más dorada, mientras que Suspect a su lado se ve más grisácea.

PISTOL vs. STORM - Son prácticamente idénticas.

SNAKEBITE vs. TOPAZ - Topaz is a tad lighter and more golden.

SUSPECT vs. EARTH - Earth has a golden undertone, while Suspect beside it looks grayer.

PISTOL vs. STORM - They are virtually identical.

A la izquierda tenéis la sombra de UD, y a la derecha la de W7. 

VERVE vs. SILK - No tienen nada que ver. Verve es mucho más brillante, muy metalizada, y tiene reflejo blanco. Silk es prácticamente mate, y más gris.

YDK vs. WAVE - No tienen nada que ver. Wave es un cobrizo de acabado mate con algo de destello, e YDK es una sombra súper metalizada, y mucho más rosada que Wave. Es de mis sombras preferidas que la Naked 2, así que es un fallo muy grade que sean tan diferentes.

BUSTED vs. THUNDER - Thunder pigmenta más, aunque también es algo más polvorienta.

BLACKOUT vs. ONYZ - En este caso me quedo con la de W7, que pigmenta mucho mejor, y el tono es algo diferente y más bonito.

On the left you have the eyeshadow by UD, and on the right, W7.

VERVE vs. SILK - They are quite different. Verve is much brighter, very metallic, and has a white reflection. Silk is almost matt, and grayer.

YDK vs. WAVE - They are completely different. Wave is a coppery shade with a matte finish and some shimmer, and YDK is a super metallic shade, and pinker than Wave. It is my favorite shade in the Naked 2, so is a downside for me that they look that different. 

BUSTED vs. THUNDER - Thunder is more pigmented, but is also somewhat chalky.

BLACKOUT vs. ONYZ - In this case I prefer the eyeshadow by W7, which has a better pigmentation, and the shade is browner (a black-brown?) and nicer.

Conclusión: Está claro que la calidad se paga, y las sombras de Urban Decay son una pasada. También he de decir que la Naked 2 es una de las paletas a las que menos uso le doy, por lo que, si pudiese volver atrás, probablemente me quedaría con la de W7 y me ahorraría 40€... la diferencia básica está en que las sombras no tienen una calidad tan excelente como Urban Decay, pero con una buena prebase, por menos de 8€ que cuesta la paleta, me basta y me sobra. El único punto realmente negativo que le veo a la de W7 es que no tenga una sombra como la YDK, ya que es de mis sombras preferidas de la paleta.
Si sois como yo y no sabéis si vais a usar tanto la paleta como para amortizar los casi 50€, o directamente, no os podéis permitir la de UD, la de W7 es una buena opción.

Conclusion: We know that with some brands you pay for quality products, and Urban Decay's eyeshadows are amazing. I must also say that the Naked 2 is one of the palettes that I don't really use that much, so, if I could go back, I would probably go with the one by W7 and I would save €40... the basic difference is that the eyeshadows are not as high quality as the ones by Urban Decay, but with a good primer, for less than €8 the palette, I find it a good deal. The only real downside I see in the one by W7 that it doesn't have an eyeshadow like YDK, as it is one of my favorite shades in the palette.
If you are like me and you do not know if you are going to use the palette as much to amortize the nearly €50, or directly, you can't afford the one by UD, the W7 palette is a good choice.

SLEEK Blush By 3 - Lace

Como prometí, hoy vengo a hablaros de la paleta Lace de los Blush By 3 de Sleek.
Ésta paleta es la más primaveral de las tres que tengo, y creo que es perfecta de cara al buen tiempo.
Los tonos, de izquierda a derecha, son: Crochet, Guipure y Chantilly. Como ya os dije, Guipure es clon del Rose Gold de los individuales de la marca, y Chantilly del Pan Tao, que fue de edición limitada.

As promised, today I come to show you the Lace palette, a Blush By 3 by Sleek. 
This palette is the most perfect for spring of the three that I have, and I think it's perfect for the good weather that needs to come.
The shades from left to right are: Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly. Apparently, Guipure is a dupe for Rose Gold from the same brand, and Chantilly is a dupe for Pan Tao, which was limited edition.

Los tres coloretes tienen una pigmentación fantástica.
Aquí podéis ver swatches de los tres juntos (en orden inversa a la foto de arriba).
Chantilly es un tono melocotón de acabado mate.
Guipure es un rosado con un halo dorado precioso.
Crochet es un coral rojizo súper favorecedor.

The three blushes have a fantastic pigmentation.

Chantilly is a matte peach shade. 
Guipure is a lovely pink with a golden halo. 
Crochet is a super flattering red coral.

En cuanto a clones en otras marcas, Chantilly es casi clon del colorete Lover de Illamasqua, aunque Lover tiene una base más amarillenta.

For dupes in other brands, Chantilly is almost a dupe for Illamasqua's Lover, although Lover has a yellowish base.

Guipure es clon del famoso Orgasm de Nars, aunque a veces me da la impresión de que aporta algo más de luminosidad.

Guipure is a dupe of the famous Nars Orgasm, but sometimes I get the impression that it gives more luminosity.

Como sabéis, yo los compré en primor (los visteis en el haul de Febrero), donde podéis aprovechar el 3x2 que suelen tener en Sleek.

Crea Tu Perfume - Perfumes de Equivalencia

¡Feliz lunes, chicas!
Os recuerdo que hoy termina el 10% de descuento en iHerb, así que si aún no habéis pasado, os invito a cotillear mi entrada sobre qué recomiendo de la web.

Hoy vamos a volver a hablar de otra tienda de perfumes de equivalencia, ya que adquirí varios con una amiga para probar y contaros qué tal. La página en cuestión se llama Crea Tu Perfume, y la lleva una chica majísima que se llama Gloria.
Ésta sería una opción low-cost y cruelty-free a otros famosos perfumes.

Today we will talk again about another equivalence perfume shop, since I recently acquired several perfumes with a friend to try them and tell you my thoughts. The page I'm talking about is called Crea Tu Perfume, and is carried by a lovely girl named Gloria.
This would be a low-cost and cruelty-free option to some famous perfumes.

Empezaremos por los de mi amiga Sombri.
Su perfume preferido es Black XS de Paco Rabanne, así que decidió probar con la "versión" de Crea Tu Perfume, el F51.
Sombri quedó muy sorprendida. En su opinión, está súper bien conseguido, aunque el original tiene un punto algo más dulce.
Éstos botes son los de 30ml, y tienen un precio de 5€.

We begin with Sombri's perfumes. 
Her favorite perfume is Black XS by Paco Rabanne, so she decided to try the "version" by Crea Tu Perfume, the F51. 
Sombri was really surprised. In her opinion, it is extremely well done, although the original smells a bit sweeter.
These pots contain 30ml and have a price of 5€.

El siguiente que compró fue el F47, la versión de Angel de Thierry Mugler. Fue un regalo para su suegra, que dijo que olía igual que el original.

The next one she bought was the F47, their version of Angel by Thierry Mugler. It was a gift for her mother-in-law, who said that it smelled just like the original.

El F7 es como La Vie est Belle, de Lancôme.

Es el único que no hemos podido comparar con el original todavía, pero he de decir que huele muy bien.

Yo compré el F48, que imita a Alien de Thierry Mugler, uno de mis perfumes preferidos.
Éste es el único que no me ha convencido, ya que, aunque se parecen bastante, no son idénticos. En éste caso, si os soy sincera, he de decir que me quedo con el original, aunque si no os lo podéis permitir, son similares.

I bought the F48, which mimics Alien by Thierry Mugler, one of my favorite perfumes. 
This is the only one that has not convinced me, because although they are similar, they are not identical. In this case, if I'm honest, I must say that I'll stay with the original, but if you can afford it, they smell quite similar.

Los últimos dos que me quedan por enseñar los encuentro calcaditos a los originales. Como veis, el bote es diferente a los anteriores, porque es de 50ml, y tiene un precio de 9€.
En concreto éste es el F108, y para mi huele igual que el Hypnotic Poison de Dior.

The last two I have left to show you smell just like the original ones on my nose. As you can see, this pot is different from the previous ones, because it is 50ml and is priced at 9€. 
In particular, this is the F108, and for me it is just like Hypnotic Poison by Dior.

Por último, Gloria tuvo el detallazo de mandarme un bote  personalizado con el logo del blog. Es uno de los servicios disponibles en su web, y el bote de 100ml personalizado tiene un precio de 17€.
El único problema es que el difusor vino doblado (no sé si quizá de algún golpe durante el trayecto).

Finally, Gloria had the gesture of sending me a custom perfume with the logo of my blog. It is one of the services available on her website, and 100ml personalized bottles are priced at 17€.
The only problem is that the diffuser was bent (I don't know if maybe this was because of any hit on the way).

Éste en concreto es el F49, que es como el Womanity de Thierry Mugler, y para mi huele igual que el original.
Los botes de 100ml sin personalizar tienen un precio de 12€.

This one in particular is the F49, which is like Womanity by Thierry Mugler, and for me it smells just like the original. 
100ml perfumes without customization are priced 12€.

En cuanto a la duración, he de decir que, tanto Sombri como yo, estamos realmente impresionadas. Tienen una duración excelente: ambas hemos probado a aplicarlos por la mañana, y a la hora de irnos a dormir, o incluso al día siguiente, ha perdurado el olor (con un rastro más leve, pero ahí estaba).

As for the longevity, I have to say that both Sombri and I, are really impressed. They have excellent durability: both of us have tried to apply them in the morning and, by the time we went to sleep, or even the next day, the smell was still there (with a slight sillage, but it was there).

El pedido mínimo es de 20€, y si no tiene stock en ese momento, el envío no será inmediato. Nosotras pagamos el 27 de Enero (por transferencia bancaria), y nos llegaron el 5 de Febrero, así que tardaron algo más de una semana. Los gastos de envío para España son sólo 3€.

The minimum order is 20€, and if they have no stock at that time, shipping will not be immediate. We paid on the 27th of January (bank transfer), and they arrived on February 5th, so they took a little over a week to arrive. The shipping costs (to Spain) are just 3€.

The Clone Wars - Mugshot (Urban Decay - Naked 3)

Hoy os traigo de nuevo un post sobre clones, en concreto sobre una de las sombras que más está gustando de la Naked 3 de Urban Decay. El clon de la misma es una sombra individual de Catrice, por lo que si no os gusta especialmente la Naked 3, pero os gusta muchísimo esa sombra, podéis haceros con ella por separado a un precio mucho más bajo.

The dupe of it is a single eyeshadow from the brand Catrice, so if you do not especially like the Naked 3, but you really like this shade, you can add it to your collection separately at a much lower price.

Aquí podéis ver las sombras swatcheadas la una junto a la otra. Si me pongo quisquillosa, la de Urban Decay es un pelín más oscura, aunque, como podéis ver, creo que es un clon bastante fiel. ¿Qué pensáis vosotras?

Realmente, el precio por sombra es prácticamente el mismo, ya que si dividimos el precio de la Naked 3 entre el número de sombras, nos sale a 3'87€/sombra (aunque también cada sombra lleva 0'7 gramos menos que las individuales de Catrice). En cuanto a calidad, aunque me encantan las sombras de Catrice, gana Urban Decay.
Si no me equivoco, el precio de cada sombra de UD por separado es de 17€, así que si os gustan más de 3 sombras de la Naked 3, ya merece la pena comprar la paleta.

Actually, the shadow price is almost the same, because if we divide the price by the number of eyeshadows that we find in the Naked 3, we get a price of 3.87€/eyeshadow (although every shadow has 0.7 grams less than the individual ones from Catrice). In terms of quality, although I love Catrice eyeshadows, Urban Decay wins. 
If I'm not mistaken, the price of each UD eyeshadow separately is 17€, so if you like more than 3 shades on the Naked 3, it's worth buying the palette.

LAROME - Todos los perfumes en una sola marca

Hoy vengo a hablar de un tema que seguro que a las amantes de los perfumes y de los animales os interesará. ¿Por qué menciono también a los animales? Porque como muchas sabréis, cada vez son más marcas las que se han introducido en el mercado chino, comenzando así a testar en animales, lo que no sólo afecta al mundo del maquillaje, sino también al mundo del perfume. Muchas veces no somos conscientes de que al "volvernos cruelty-free" no sólo debemos "renunciar" a ciertas marcas de maquillaje, sino todo tipo de cosmética, e incluso productos del hogar.
Para mi, LAROME ha sido un gran descubrimiento. Es una marca de perfumes con aromas "inspirados" en perfumes de alta gama, que, además de ser menos caros, no testan en animales. ¿Qué quiere eso decir? Pues que en una sola marca encontraremos muchísimos perfumes diferentes a los que podremos acceder sin dar nuestro dinero a empresas crueles con nuestros amigos peludos.

Today I come to discuss a topic that i'm sure that perfume lovers and animal lovers will be interested in. And why do I mention animals too? As many of you know, more and more brands have been introduced in the Chinese market, thus beginning to be tested in animals, which affects not only the world of makeup, but also to the world of perfume. Many times we are not aware that "becoming cruelty-free" we don't only have to "renounce" to certain makeup brands, but all kinds of cosmetic brands, and even household products. 

For me, LAROME has been a great find. It is a brand of perfume with scents "inspired" in high-end perfumes, which, apart from being less expensive, does not test on animals. 

What does that mean? Well, that in just one brand we will find many different perfumes to which we can access without giving our money to cruel business with our furry friends.

Desde LAROME tuvieron la amabilidad de mandarme un estuche lleno de testers de perfumes para que pudiese olerlos por mi misma. Me quedé sorprendidísima con la cantidad de perfumes que tienen, tanto "para ellos" como "para nosotras". Además, el packaging me parece una preciosidad (y eso que estos sólo son los testers, ¡los normales son aún más bonitos!).
Últimamente he estado viendo algún que otro post en blogs hablando sobre LAROME, y cuando esto ocurre, desconfío, especialmente cuando la entrada está poco trabajada o parece sacada de la teletienda, así que me vino genial poder probar la marca por mí misma, ya que, como sabéis, si algo no me gusta, no tengo problema en decirlo.

From LAROME they were kind enough to send me a case full of perfume testers so that I could smell them by myself. I was extremely surprised with the amount of perfumes that they have, both for men and for women. 
In addition, the packaging looks gorgeous (and that these are only the testers, the normal ones are even prettier!).
Lately I've been seeing some occasional post on blogs talking about LAROME here and there, and when this happens, I get souspicious, especially when the post has brand pictures or looks just like an infomercial, so it was great to try the brand for myself, because, as you know, if there is something I do not like, I have no problem to say it.

A mi me gusta hablar con conocimiento de causa, para lo que conseguí muestras de varios de los perfumes originales, y fui a distintas tiendas con mis testers para comparar en vivo y en directo otros tantos. Mi conclusión fue clara: el parecido es asombroso, e incluso en algunos no supimos diferenciar el original del de LAROME (y lo digo en plural porque he contado con más gente para comparar, para tener más de una opinión). No he podido comprobar cada uno de los más de 80 perfumes que tienen por razones obvias (¡no quiero acabar con un colocón!), pero mi opinión general ha sido más que buena.

I like to talk knowingly, so I got to sample several of the original perfumes, and went to different stores to compare with my testers in live many others. My conclusion was clear: the resemblance is amazing, and even with some of them we could not distinguish the original from the one by LAROME (and I say it plural because I had more people to compare, to have more than just my opinion). I was unable to check each of the 80 perfumes they have for obvious reasons (I do not want to end up with a buzz!), but my general opinion has been more than good.

Gracias a LAROME he podido, por ejemplo, encontrar mis alternativas a Chloé de Chloé y a Fame* de Lady Gaga, que son dos que me gustan mucho, pero pertenecen a Coty, empresa conocida por su crueldad hacia nuestros amigos peludos.
Recomiendo los perfumes de LAROME tanto a personas que no puedan permitirse los precios de algunos perfumes de alta gama, como para personas que, como yo, busquen alternativas a perfumes testados en animales en una marca libre de crueldad.
Además, de los varios que he probado yo, he de decir que el olor sí perdura.

*Fame es un perfume que no destaca por ser excesivamente duradero en mi piel (y por lo que he leído en Fragantica, no soy la única con ese problema), y he de decir que, si bien el de LAROME me dura un pelín más, sigo notando que se me va antes el olor que con otros perfumes, aunque, aun así, me gusta.

Thanks to LAROME I could, for example, find my alternatives to Chloé by Chloé and Fame* by Lady Gaga, which are two that I like, but they belong to Coty, known for their cruelty towards the animals. 

I recommend LAROME perfumes both to people who can not afford the prices of some high-end perfumes, and for people who, like me, seek alternatives to other perfumes that are being tested on animals in a cruelty-free brand. 

In addition, several of which I've tried, I have to say that the smell really lingers.

*Fame by Lady Gaga is a perfume that is not known for being overly lasting on my skin, and I must say that, while the one by LAROME lasts on me a bit longer, I keep noticing the smell lasts less on my skin than other perfumes, but I like the smell anyways. They both have the same black color too!

De hecho, y a pesar del maletín que podéis ver en la foto, ya he hecho un pedido, así que cuando los reciba (mañana seguramente) os enseñaré también fotos de los frascos.

Los precios de los perfumes de hombre y mujer son de 14'50€ los 50ml, y 20'50€ los 100ml.. El perfume para niños está solamente disponible en formato de 75ml, y tiene un precio de 19€.
