Cruelty Free Tag - TOP 5

Hoy traigo un post muy especial para mi, el "Cruelty Free Tag - TOP 5", ya que es un TAG que creamos entre algunas bloggers para promocionar los productos cruelty-free. Como sabéis, yo soy una gran amante de los animales, y creo que es nuestro deber NO apoyar económicamente a empresas crueles con nuestros amigos peludos. Hoy el día hay muchísimas alternativas libres de crueldad en el mercado, y yo os invito nuevamente a dejar de lado a aquellas empresas a las que les importa más el dinero que la ética.
Este post NO es ninguna colaboración con ninguna tienda o marca, y cada una de nosotras hemos elegido los productos que queríamos recomendar según nuestra propia experiencia con los mismos. 

Today I bring a very special post for me, the "Cruelty Free Tag - TOP 5" because it is a TAG that we created to promote cruelty-free products. 
As you know, I'm a big animal lover, and I think it is our duty is to NOT support financially companies that are cruel with our furry friends. Nowadays, we have many cruelty-free alternatives on the market, and again, I invite you to set aside those companies that care more about money than ethics. 

This post is NOT any collaboration with any store or brand, and each of us have chosen the products we want to recommend you from our own experience with them.

El TAG consiste en presentaros cada una de nosotras 5 de nuestros productos cruelty-free favoritos. Ya que mi blog está dedicado al apoyo de éste tipo de productos, no quería repetirme, y decidí enseñar 5 productos de los que no he subido review al blog. Además, he querido hacer una mezcla entre maquillaje, y productos de cuidado facial. ¡Espero que os gusten!

The TAG consists in showing each one of us 5 of our favorite cruelty-free products. Since my blog is dedicated to the support of this kind of products, I did not want to repeat myself, and decided to show you 5 products that I have not reviewed on the blog yet. Also, I wanted to do a mix of makeup and skincare products. Hope you like it!

El primer favorito es el jabón African Black Soap de Nubian Heritage. No podía dejar de mencionarlo, ya que pienso que es uno de los mejores jabones "contra el acné" que he probado (y han sido muchos). A mi hermana y a mi nos va muy bien, y huele vicio, aunque aviso que sí es de los que dejan la piel algo tirante.
De precio está genial, cuesta 3'47$ en iHerb (link directo AQUÍ), y contiene 141 gr. de producto.

My first favorite is the African Black Soap by Nubian Heritage. I could not help to mention it, because I think that is one of the best "anti-blemish" soaps that I've tried (and I have tried a lot of them). It works great for my sister and I, and its smells so nice, but I should say that it is the kind of soap that that leaves a tight feeling on the skin. 
The price is great, it costs $3.47 at iHerb (direct link HERE) and contains 141 gr. of product.

El siguiente producto es el colorete Hussy de Illamasqua. Se trata de un rosa cálido con un punto neón, una especie de "rosa sandía" podríamos decir. Da muchísima vida al rostro, y creo que es perfecto para primavera/verano. Se trabaja fácilmente, aunque es muy pigmentado. La foto de la web no se parece en nada a la del producto real, así que espero que la mía os sea de más ayuda (tenéis swatches pinchando aquí).

El colorete tiene un precio de £21.50 (algo menos de 26€), y contiene 4.5 gr. de producto (link directo AQUÍ).

The next product is Illamasqua's Hussy blush. It is a very bright 'neonish' warm pink, a "watermelon pink" might say. It looks so healthy on the skin, and I think is perfect for spring/summer. It is easy to blend, although it is very pigmented. The picture on their website does not look anything like the actual product, so hopefully mine will be of more helpful (you can see swatches by clicking here). 
The blush is priced at £21.50 (just under 26€) and contains 4.5 gr. of product (direct link HERE).

Si me seguís en Instagram, habréis visto este producto hasta la saciedad: la prebase de sombras de Neve Cosmetics. Se trata de una prebase vegana potenciadora del color, totalmente transparente. Evita que salgan pliegues durante horas (unas 7h. en mis párpados grasos).

Contiene 20ml de producto, y la podéis encontrar en Mimmakeup a un precio de 7'90€ (con el código shirayukis tendréis un 5% de descuento, y el envío es gratis) (link directo AQUÍ).

If you follow me on Instagram, I am sure that you have seen this product over and over again on my looks: the eyeshadow primer by Neve Cosmetics. This is a color enhancer vegan primer, totally transparent. It prevents eyeshadows from creasing for hours (about 7h. on my oily eyelids).

Mi "hidratante estrella" es la Crema Facial Hidratante-Equilibrante para pieles grasas con impurezas de Miraur. Sin duda, es la mejor crema hidratante que he encontrado para mi piel (mixta/grasa deshidratada con tendencia acnéica). Es mucho más untuosa que las que solía utilizar indicadas para mi tipo de piel, pero sin embargo se absorbe genial, y no me saca brillos (porque no debemos olvidar que la piel grasa también necesita hidratación). 

La única pega que le veo es el precio, ya que es algo cara. Tiene un precio de 27€ por 50ml de producto, aunque por lo menos, en su web, los gastos de envío son gratis (link directo AQUÍ).

My best moisturizer is the Balancing-Hydrating Face Cream for oily skin with blemishes by Miraur. Without a doubt, I could say that it is the best moisturizer I've tried for my skin (dehydrated combination/oily acne-prone skin). It is much more thick than other moisturizers suitable for my skin type, but yet it absorbs great, and doesn't make me look oily (because we must not forget that oily skin also needs hydration). 
The only downside I see is the price, as it is quite pricey. It costs €27 for 50ml of product, but at least, on its website, the shipping is free (direct link HERE).

Por último, os enseño mi base de maquillaje mineral preferida, de la marca Lily Lolo. La cobertura es media y modulable. Cuando quiero más cobertura desde un principio, aplico como "prebase" una capa ligera del corrector mineral de la misma marca, y luego la base sobre el mismo, aunque la mayor parte de las veces la utilizo sola. 

Contiene 10gr. de producto, y tiene un precio de 15'75€. La podéis comprar en Ecco-Verde (con el código ECCOSHIRA os harán un 5% de descuento) (link directo AQUÍ).

Finally, I show you my favorite mineral foundation by the brand Lily Lolo. The coverage is medium and buildable. When I want more coverage from the beginning, I apply a light coat of the mineral concealer from the same brand as a base, and then use the foundation over it, although most of the time I use the foundation alone.

Haul Illamasqua - Julio 2013 (Parte II)

Mañana me voy de viaje a Amsterdam, por lo que no podré actualizar, así que he decidido subir ya la segunda parte del Haul a Illamasqua para no tener esto abandonado de nuevo. Si no habéis visto la primera parte, no dudéis en pasar por el post anterior.

Tomorrow I will start my holidays traveling to Amsterdam, where I can not update, so I decided to upload today the second part of the Illamasqua's Haul, so this blog doesn't look abandoned too many days. If you have not seen the first part, do not hesitate to go through the previous post.

Empezaré por uno de los productos que más me han gustado: los coloretes. Tienen unas tonalidades preciosas, y se trabajan muy bien. Son muy pigmentados, pero he de decir que al pasar la brocha han soltado un poco de polvillo (no sé si por el hecho de ser tan "finos").
El primero que escogí fue Hussy, un colorete mate que definen en la web como un rosa caramelo brillante. Cuesta £18.

I will start with one of the products I most liked: the blushes. They have beautiful shades, and you can work with them very well. They are very pigmented, but I will say that when you pass the brush over them, you will get some dust, because they are so finely milled.

The first one I chose was Hussy, a matte blush defined in the web as a bright candy pink. It costs £18.00.

El siguiente es Tremble, que definen como un rosa liláceo suave, también de acabado mate. Es un tono que cambia bastante dependiendo de la luz. La foto la he sacado con flash, y he intentado que fuese lo más respetuosa posible al color que se ve en el pan. También cuesta £18.

The next one is Tremble, which they define as a soft lilac pink, with a matte finish too. It is a shade that is quite different depending on the light. I've taken all the pictures with flash, and I tried to be as respectful as possible to the color you see on the pan. 
This one is also £18.00.

Por último, me hice con mi primer colorete "naranja" de acabado mate, el famoso Lover. En la web lo definen como un albaricoque suave, y ahora mismo lo tenéis casi a mitad de precio, por solo £10.00.

Finally, I picked up my first "orange" matte blush, the famous Lover. On the web they define the color as a soft apricot, and now you have it almost half price, for only £ 10.00.

Aquí tenéis los tres tonos juntos para que podáis comparar mejor los colores. Soy fan total de los coloretes mate, por lo que pensé que sería una buena idea empezar con ese acabado, ya que nunca había probado ni tenido delante ningún colorete de la marca, y creo que he acertado de lleno, puesto que a pesar de ser muy distintos de como muestran en la web (os recomiendo buscar swatches online), los tres son tonos preciosos, muy ponibles, y de los cuales no he encontrado clones en mi colección.

Here are the three colors together so you can compare better the colors. I'm a total fan of matte blushes, so I thought it would be a good idea to start with this kind of finish. I had never tried before any blush form this brand, and I think I have chosen well, since, despite being very different from what they show on their website (I recommend you to search online for the swatches), all of them are beautiful shades, very wearable, and I coudn't fine any dupe for them on my collection.

Estos son los swatches que hice yo de los coloretes, tanto los de este post, como los del post anterior. A pesar de que es en Tremble donde definen el color con un subtono liláceo, yo veo más liláceo el Katie, ¿qué pensáis?

These are the swatches of all the blushes, the ones from this post, as the ones of the previous post. Although it is Tremble the one that they define as having a lilac undertone, I find Katie to be more lilac, what do you think?

Como el labial que compré yo ya os lo enseñé en la anterior entrada, sólo me queda por mostrar la sombra de ojos que me compré. Mi idea traerme el pigmento en crema Hollow, para contornear el rostro, pero en el momento de hacer el pedido estaba fuera de stock. Decidí animarme con la sombra Heroine para el mismo fin, ya que en la web el color parecía similar al colorete Taupe de NYX. Este tiene un precio de £15.50.

As I already showed you the lipstick that I bought in the previous post, I just have left to show the eyeshadow that I bought. My idea was to pick the Hollow cream pigment as a contour shade for the face, but at the time when we ordered, it was out of stock. I decided to cheer with the Heroine eyeshadow for the same purpose, as on the web the color looked similar to NYX Taupe blush. This one is priced at £15.50.

Al llegar a casa me di cuenta de que el tono no era tan grisáceo como el Taupe de NYX, sino que se asemejaba algo más a la sombra Naked 2 de la paleta Naked Basics de Urban Decay.

When I have it at home I realized that the shade was not as gray as the NYX Taupe but something resembling to the Naked 2 eyeshadow from Urban Decay's Naked Basics.

Y éstos han sido todos los productos. Me quedé con ganas de hacerme con más, así que, desde luego, volveré a hacer otro pedido en un futuro.

Haul Illamasqua - Julio 2013 (Parte I)

¡Por fin empiezan las vacaciones! (al menos para mi...)
Siento muchísimo haber tenido el blog abandonado, pero he querido centrarme en los exámenes, ¡pero ya estoy de vuelta!
Hoy os traigo un pedido conjunto a Illamasqua. La mitad de los productos del haul no son míos, pero su dueña me ha dejado amablemente grabarlos y fotografiarlos para vosotras (subiré vídeos con swatches en movimiento de los mismos al canal de YouTube en unos días). Era un pedido que teníamos planeado desde hace mes y medio, pero no fue hasta el pasado fin de semana cuando por fin pude ponerle las garras  a todo encima. Como quería enseñar fotos comparativas de los productos, he preferido dividir la entrada en dos partes. En ésta primera incluiré los artículos que no pedí yo, y en la siguiente os enseñaré los míos. ¡Espero que os gusten!

I'm finally starting the holidays! 

I feel thrilled to have abandoned the blog, but I wanted to focus on exams without any other "distraction". I'm back now!

Today I bring my haul with a friend to Illamasqua. Half of the products from this haul are not mine, but her owner kindly let me record and photograph them for you (I'll upload videos with moving swatches to the YouTube channel in a few days). It was an order that we planned for a month and a half, but it was not until last weekend when I finally put the claws over our things. I wanted to show you comparison swatches of the products with other "similar" ones, so I prefer to split the haul into two parts. In this first part I will include the items that where not for me, and in a next post I'll show you mines. I hope you like!

Primero empezaré por una preciosa paleta que estuve a punto de comprar también, y me arrepentí enormemente de no hacerlo: se trata de la Complement Palette. He de adelantaros que todavía no tengo fotos de los swatches, puesto que olvidé sacarlas, y la dueña se la llevó ayer a casa, pero le pediré próximamente que la traiga para poder sacar las fotos oportunas y actualizaros la entrada. Mientras tanto podéis ver los swatches de Catanya's Things.
La paleta consta de tres sombras:
- Slink: un champagne suave con shimmer, perfecto para iluminar.
- Focus: una sombra en crema de un color marrón metálico.
- Forgiveness: un tono borgoña mate.
- Queen of the Night: un morado oscuro metalizado.
Las cuatro sombras tienen una pigmentación fantástica, y la paleta tiene un precio de £34.

I will begin first with a beautiful palette that I was about to buy too, and greatly regretted not doing it: it is the Complement Palette. 
I haven't got yet pictures of the swatches of this palette, since I forgot to do them, and the owner took it to her home yesterday, but I will ask her to bring the palette to my home soon to take pictures and show them to you. Meanwhile you can see swatches of Catanya's Things.

The palette has three eyeshadows:

- Slink: a soft champagne shimmer which is perfect for highlighting.

- Focus: a metallic brown cream eyeshadow.

- Forgiveness: a matte burgundy shade.

- Queen of the Night: a dark metallic purple.

The four shadows have great pigmentation, and the palette is priced at £34.

En cuanto a los labiales, yo sólo pedí el ESP (que también podéis ver en la foto). Son todos de una textura tipo cera bastante seca, aunque los colores son preciosos y muy intensos.

Regarding the lipsticks, I only ordered the ESP (which you can also see in the photo). They have all a waxy texture which seems quite dry, although the colors are beautiful and very intense.

La marca tiene una amplia variedad de tonos de lo más originales, y Flare y Over tienen un punto neón que no se aprecia en la foto. En cuanto a la aplicación, los que más uniformes quedan son Magnetism, Flare y Over, mientras que ESP parchea un poco, así que tendré que probar a aplicarlo sobre un lápiz de labios de un color similar o con un gloss encima. Cada uno de ellos tiene un precio de £16.50.

The brand has a wide variety of the most original shades, and Over and Flare look quite neon and bright in person. Regarding the application, the most uniform ones are Magnetism, Flare and Over, while ESP patches a bit, so I'll have to try to apply it over a lip pencil in a similar color or a gloss on top. Each one of this lipsticks is priced at £ 16.50.

Si ponemos el Flare de Illamasqua junto al Morange de Mac se puede apreciar un subtono más amarillento en mismo.

If we put together Illamasqua's Flare and Mac's Morange we would appreciate a more yellow undertone in it.

El labial más similar que he encontrado al Over de Illamasqua es el Peach 07 de Belle. Sin embargo, éste último es más rosado.

The most similar lipstick that I've found to Illamasqua's Over is Belle's Peach 07. However, Peach 07 is more pinkish.

El Magnetism, al colocarlo entre el Rebel y su cuasi-gemelo de H&M, tiene un punto mucho más rosado, y dependiendo de la luz, se ve mucho más rojizo/vino, como pudisteis apreciar en la foto comparativa que subí por Instagram.

Illamasqua's Magnetism, when placed between the Rebel and its near-twin by H&M, looks much pinker, and depending on the lighting, it looks much more red/wine, as you could see in the comparison picture that I uploaded to Instagram.

Aquí tenéis los tres labiales de María en su boca. Como veis, el Over es el que marca más las pielecillas, mientras que el Flare y el Magenta, a pesar de ser también secos, dejan un aspecto más uniforme.

Here you have Maria's lipsticks on her mouth. As you can see, Over looks more waxy than the others, while Flare and Magenta, besides being dry too, look more uniform on the lips.

El único pigmento que se compró fue el Dab. Yo quería hacerme con el Hollow para el contorno, pero en el momento de hacer el pedido estaba fuera de stock. Éstos pigmentos en crema están pensados para su uso en ojos, labios, cara y cuerpo, y tienen un precio de £17.50.
Al ser un producto en crema no quise "meter el dedazo" estando sin estrenar, pero luego lo probé con su dueña y el color queda exactamente tal y como se ve en la foto.

The only pigment that was purchased on this haul was Dab. I wanted to get my hands on Hollow for contouring, but at the time that we order it was out of stock. These cream pigments are designed to use on eyes, lips, face and body, and are priced at £17.50.
Being a cream product I did not wanted to "put my fingerprints" being new, but then I tried it with its owner, and the color is exactly what you in the picture.

El último producto de ésta entrada es el dúo de coloretes Katie/Ambition. Es un dúo perfecto para las amantes de los tonos rosados, y ambos quedan muy bonitos aplicados sobre la piel. Eso sí, Katie es un tono bastante pálido, por lo que no sé cómo quedará sobre una tez bronceada.
Hay otros dos dúos disponibles, y tienen un precio de £26.

The latest product of this entry is the powder blush duo in Katie/Ambition. It is a perfect duet for those who love pink blushes, and both look very nice applied to the skin. Yes, Katie is a pretty pale shade, so I do not know how it will look on a tanned complexion.
There are two other duos available, and are priced at £26.

La duración de los coloretes, por lo poco que he podido probar, es magnífica: sólo llevé uno de los míos un día, pero me aguantó las 9 horas que estuve maquillada intacto. Si bien el packaging es un poco abultado, y se puede hacer más incómodo que un colorete de Nars o Sleek, me parece que merecen mucho la pena.

The lasting of the blushes, from what I could try, is superb: I just wore one of mine one day, but it lasted the nine hours I had makeup on intact. While the packaging is a bit bulky, and can be more uncomfortable than Nars or Sleek, I think the blushes really deserve it.
