Hoy vengo a enseñaros un estuche de brochas de la marca Vanity Tools: The Red Hot Brush Book. El estuche es de muy buena calidad, rígido y resistente.

Por dentro contiene 12 brochas sintéticas bicolores, con mango rojo y virola de aluminio. Llevo unos meses probando el set, y puedo asegurar que todas las brochas son súper suaves.

Large Powder - Se trata de una brocha grande para polvos. Me encanta para aplicar los polvos por el rostro a la hora de sellar el maquillaje, ya que, debido a su tamaño, abarca todo el rostro rápidamente.

Duo Fiber - Se trata de una brocha de corte recto demasiado flexible para mi gusto. Este tipo de brochas me gusta que sean mucho más rígidas para poder aplicar con comodidad la base de maquillaje. Como para base no me gusta, le doy el mismo uso que a la brocha anterior.

Large Angled Contour - Es una brocha angulada perfecta para aplicar el contorno de forma precisa. Si os fijáis, el blanco ya no es tan blanco, ya que, por alguna razón, el rojo de esta brocha ha ido destiñendo un poco con los lavados.

Foundation - Se trata de la clásica brocha de lengua de gato para aplicar la base. Tiene una rigidez media, y es poco densa. La única brocha de este estilo que me convence es la de Real Techniques. Esta la utilizo para aplicar mascarillas.

Concealer - Es muy parecida a la anterior, pero en tamaño pequeño, para aplicar el corrector, aunque me gusta mucho más que su "hermana mayor".

Eye Shadow - Me encanta para aplicar una sombra color piel por todo el ojo. También es muy cómoda para aplicar un tono por el párpado móvil, aunque no coge demasiado producto, por lo que la uso cuando quiero un ligero toque de color.

Pencil Brush - El uso principal que le doy a esta brocha es el de difuminar los bordes cuando delineo con sombras. También me gusta para aplicar iluminador de forma precisa bajo el arco de la ceja.

Large Eye Shadow - Es la tercera lengua de gato del set, y la más pequeña. Esta la utilizo para aplicar mis sombras en crema de Nabla Cosmetics.

Large Tapered Blending - Es una de mis brochas preferidas del set. La utilizo mucho para difuminar los cortes.

Medium Angled Shading - Se trata de una brocha angulada que utilizo sobre todo para aplicar sombras más oscuras en la zona exterior del párpado móvil.

Small Angled - Esta es otra de mis brochas favoritas. Me gusta usarla para hacer el delineado, así como para difuminar de forma precisa sombras y/o lápiz de ojos en la zona inferior de las pestañas. También la uso de vez en cuando para rellenar las cejas con sombra, ya que su tamaño me permite manejarme con facilidad.

Eyeliner - No soy fan de utilizar este tipo de brochas para realizar el delineado. Sin embargo, me resulta muy cómoda para aplicar sombra en la línea inferior de las pestañas.

Me parece un estuche muy apañado, sobre todo a la hora de ir de viaje. Además, si a alguna de las brochas no le dáis demasiado uso, siempre podéis meter otra que os guste más en el hueco a la hora de llevarlo con vosotras.

Vanity Tools | City Kit (¡Mejoradas!)

¿Recordáis las brochas del City Kit de Vanity Tools de las que os hablé a principios del año? Había algunas brochas bastante mejorables, y parece que la marca ha tomado nota, y ha sacado una nueva tirada de brochas con bastante diferencia respecto a las anteriores. Gracias a El Outlet del Maquillaje, recibí una de las nuevas tiradas, y hoy os traigo el post con mis opiniones sobre las mismas, y la comparativa con la tanda anterior. Os aviso de que todas las brochas son de pelo de cabra, y si preferís brochas veganas os recomiendo el set Pink&Cheap. ¡Espero que os guste!

Do you remember the City Kit brushes by Vanity Tools, which I reviewed earlier this year? There had some brushes that needed to be improved, and it seems that the brand has taken note and has released a new batch of brushes with such a difference compared to the previous batch. Thanks to El Outlet del Maquillaje, I received the new batch of brushes, and today I'm here to review them for you, and show you the comparison with the previous batch. I have to say  that all this brushes are from goat hair, and if you prefer vegan brushes I recommend you to take a look at the Pink&Cheap set. Hope you like it!

La primera es la Smudge Milano, que es la uso para difuminar el lápiz de ojos cuando quiero un look más ahumado.

Tiene un precio de 5'95€, y es similar a la E21 de Sigma.

The first one is the Smudge Milano  which I use to blend the pencil liner when I want a smokier look. 
It costs €5'95, and is similar to the E21 by Sigma.

Respecto a la tanda anterior, creo que la imagen habla por sí misma: el corte es muchísimo más limpio, el pelo mucho más suave y algo más largo. No hay color. Me encanta la nueva brocha.

Compared to the previous batch, I think the picture speaks for itself: the cut is much cleaner, the hair is much softer and the hair is slightly longer. Such a difference! I love the new one.

La siguiente es la Pencil Paris. Esta brocha la uso para cuando quiero aplicar sombra a ras de pestañas inferiores para un look ahumado, para aplicar sombra por la V externa, o en la banana. Tiene un precio de 5'95€, y es similar a la E30 de Sigma (en la web se ve más puntiaguda la de Sigma, pero en fotos de clientas las veo iguales).

The next one is the Pencil Paris  This is the brush I use when I want to apply eyeshadow on the lower lashes for a smoky look, to apply eyeshadow to the outer V, or on the banana. It costs €5'95, and is similar to the E30 by Sigma (on the website it looks more pointed, but they look so close to the pictures of their clients).

Respecto a la tanda anterior, también ha mejorado notablemente el corte (aunque la anterior tenía mejor aspecto antes de darle todo el yute que le he dado) y el pelo es más suave.

Compared to the previous batch, they had also significantly improved the cut (although the last batch looked better than it looks here before I used it so much) and the hair is softer.

La siguiente brocha me tiene enamorada, y se trata de la Crease Lisbon. La uso para difuminar y aplicar sombras de transición, o contornear zonas pequeñas como la nariz. Tiene un precio de 5'95€, y recuerda a la E35 de Sigma.

I'm really in love with the next brush, and it  is the Crease Lisbon  I use it to blend and apply transition eyeshadows or contouring small areas like the nose. It costs €5'95, and reminds me of the Sigma E35.

La brocha de la tanda anterior ha ido perdiendo forma con el uso que le he dado en estos 9 meses, pero aun así, la diferencia en el corte es innegable. En cuanto a suavidad, la de la tanda anterior no estaba mal, así que la diferencia no es tan abismal como con otras brochas.

The brush of the previous batch has been losing shape with the use I have given to it in these 9 months, but even so, the difference in the cut is undeniable. As for smoothness, the previous batch was OK, so the difference is not as abysmal as with other brushes.

La última brocha de ojos renovada es la Pro Blending Madrid. Esta brocha me encanta para aplicar "sombra base" por todo el párpado móvil y para difuminar de forma precisa. Se supone que esta brocha era la más similar a la E25 de Sigma, pero el nuevo corte es más ancho. Tiene un precio de 5'95€.

The last eyeshadow brush from the new batch is the Pro Blending Madrid.  I love this brush to apply a "base eyeshadow" (skin colored eyeshadow) all over the eyelid and blend accurately. The last batch looked like the Sigma E25,  but the new cut is wider. It costs €5'95.

El cambio respecto a la anterior es increíble. La anterior llegó despeluchada, tuve que quitarle pelitos, y no era de las brochas que más me gustaba del kit. Sin embargo, la nueva no tiene nada que ver, aparte de ser diez veces más suave.

The change from the previous one is amazing. The older batch looked disheveled when it arrived arrived, and I had to cut some hairs. It was not so good. However, the new does not look anything alike, apart from being ten times softer.

Por último, una de las de rostro: la Precision Blush London. Como este modelo llega con el pelo muy compacto, la usé varias veces para que vieses una forma más "fiel" a la que luego tendréis. Me encanta esta brocha para contornear el rostro. Tiene un precio de 7'95€, y es como la F40 de Sigma.

Finally, one of the face: the Precision Blush London. As this model comes very compact, I used it several times so that you'd see how it looks after being used. I love this brush to contour the face. It costs €7'95, and is like the Sigma F40.

Respecto a la anterior, la nueva me vino sin "pelos locos" (a la otra tuve que cortarle pelitos) y es más suave, aunque he de decir que la otra me funcionaba igual de bien (es, junto con la de la nueva tirada, mi brocha preferida para contornear). 

Regarding the other batch, the new me came without "crazy hairs" (I had to cut several hairs from the other one) and it is softer, although I have to say that the other one worked for me just as well (that one is, along with the one from the new batch, my favorite brush for contouring).

En resumen: estoy súper contenta con la nueva tanda, y creo que las imágenes hablan por sí solas. Todas las brochas han mejorado en corte y suavidad, y han mantenido los mismos precios.

Ninguna de las brochas me ha perdido pelos salvo la de rostro, que perdió un par al lavarla.

In short: I'm super happy with the new batch, and I think the images speak for themselves. All brushes have improved in their cut and their softness, and have maintained the same prices.
None of the brushes has shed but the one for the face, which hast lost a couple of hairs while washing it.

Si preferís las brochas veganas, os recomiendo el set Pink&Cheap de la marca, del cual ya os hice review. En casa tenemos dos (uno mío, y otro que le compré a mi hermana por navidad), y me parece un set basicorro pero guay.

If you prefer vegan brushes, I recommend the Pink&Cheap set from the same brand, which I already did review on. At home we have two of them (one mine, and one that I bought for my sister for Christmas), and I think it's a great set.

Vanity Tools - Maletín Miss Crocodile

¡Feliz lunes, chicas! Hoy vengo a enseñar un producto que tengo desde hace ya tiempo (meses), pero por tema exámenes y demás todavía no os lo había enseñado por aquí. Se trata del maletín de maquillaje Miss Crocodile de Vanity Tools. Como podéis ver, se trata de un maletín "tipo bolso", aunque duro y resistente, con asas (también tiene una correa más larga por si queremos llevarlo cruzado del pecho), y con dos cremalleras, una a cada lado. Es de piel sintética rosa tipo cocodrilo (como bien dice su nombre).

Happy Monday, ladies! Today I come to show a product that I have had for quite some time now (months), but with all the exams I have many pending entries. I'm going to show you the Miss Crocodile makeup case by Vanity Tools. As you can see, this is a "bag like" makeup case, yet tough and sturdy,  (also has a longer strap in case we want to carry it crossed at the chest), and with two zippers, one on each side. The outside looks like pink faux alligator skin (as its name suggests).

Es bastante grande: 30cm largo x 24cm ancho x 26cm alto.

Cuando lo abrimos, vemos que se divide en 7 compartimentos: cuatro rectángulos pequeños (dos a cada lado), dos rectángulos más alargados, y el fondo, que es el más profundo. Además, esta estructura de bandejas es extraíble, por lo que, si queremos llevar el maletín sin bandejas, podemos hacerlo sin problemas.

It is quite large: 30cm long x 24cm wide x 26cm high. 
When we opened, we can see that is divided into 7 compartments: four small rectangles (two on each side), two elongated rectangles, and the back part, which is the deepest. Moreover, this structure of trays is removable, so if we want the case without trays, we can remove them it without problems.

Las bandejas pequeñas son las que menos altura tienen. Aun así, tienen suficiente como para meter bastantes productos: en el compartimento de la derecha podéis ver que he podido meter un labial con su cajita, la Naked Basics, cuatro sombras de ojos de distintos tamaños, y un colorete, y aún me quedaba algún hueco. Para que os hagáis una idea, la altura de estos compartimentos laterales es la misma que la anchura del packaging de cartón que protege los pigmentos de Kiko: 2'8 centímetros.

The small trays are the ones that have less height. Even so, they have enough to get quite some products: in the compartment on the right you can see that I could put a lipstick with its box, the Naked Basics, four individual eye shadows of different sizes, and a blush, and I still had some space left. 
To give you an idea, the height of these side compartments is the same as the width of the cardboard packaging that protects Kiko's pigments: 2'8 centimeters.

Personalmente, no soy fan del diseño exterior, y creo que si sacasen otra versión en negro tendría mucho más tirón y daría un aspecto más profesional, pero también es verdad que eso es lo que hace a este maletín diferente y original, es cuestión de gustos.
Ahora bien, como maletín de maquillaje en sí, me parece estupendo. Me resulta muy fácil ordenar mis productos en él, y como es bastante grande puedo meter un montón de cosas, pero sin renunciar a poder llevarlo colgado (otros maletines son tan grandes que son más parecidos a una maleta con ruedas que a un bolso grande). Además, es un maletín resistente, especialmente con el separador puesto, por lo que protege bien los productos que llevemos dentro.
Es más grande que el famoso neceser de Zoeva que siempre está agotado, y yo creo que el de Vanity Tools protege mejor los productos, ya que es más duro, aunque el diseño de Zoeva me resulte más bonito (para mi gusto personal). De precio, no andan tan lejos.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the exterior design, and I think that if they bring out another version in black it would look so much better an professional, but it is also true that that's what makes this case different and original, it is a matter of taste. 
Now as a makeup case itself, I think it's great. I find it very easy to order my products in it, as it is quite large so I can put a lot of things, but without sacrificing the fact that I can carry it like a normal bag (other makeup cases are so large that they are more like a suitcase with wheels than like a big bag) . Besides, it's a sturdy case, especially with the trays on, so it protects well the products that we carry inside of it.
It's bigger than the famous cosmetic bag by Zoeva which is always sold out, and I think that this one by Vanity Tools protects the products better, since it is more sturdy, although Zoeva's design looks much nicer (to my taste). The price is more or less on the same range.

Favoritos - Abril '14

Ya estamos en Mayo, y por ello os traigo hoy el post de mis favoritos de Abril. ¡Espero que os gusten!

We are already in May, so today I bring you on this post my April Favorites.

Empezaré por el rostro, y este mes me ha dado por las bases minerales.
He usado la mayor parte del mes la base mineral de Lily Lolo en el tono Porcelain (16'49€ el bote grande aquí), que me encanta, pero me fui de puente, me dio el solecito, y tuve que cambiar a la base de Ocean Mist Cosmetics en el tono Vanilla (Fairiest Warm) (16'95€ el bote grande aquí, y review aquí).
Ambas son geniales, especialmente aplicadas con la brocha plana de las Metal Glam de Vanity Tools (7'95€ aquí, y review aquí).

I will start with face products, and this month I've been loving my mineral foundations. 
I've used most of the month the mineral foundation by Lily Lolo in the shade Porcelain (16'49€ the full size here), which I love, but I went on vacations, and I got a bit of a "tan", and had to change to the foundation by Ocean Mist Cosmetics in the shade Vanilla (Fairiest Warm) (16'95€ the full size here, and review here). 
Both are great, especially applied with the flat brush from the Metal Glam by Vanity Tools (7'95€ here and review here).

Respecto a ojos, empezaré por el Green Liner de Boho Green Revolution (11'50€ aquí, y review aquí).

Como máscara de pestañas , me ha estado encantado la Bio de Avril (7€ aquí, y review aquí), que al principio no me parecía nada del otro mundo, y me apelotonaba un poco las pestañas, pero con el uso me está encantando. Ahora que la fórmula se ha secado un poco, me deja las pestañas bien peinaditas. Lo mejor es que al ser un producto natural resulta muy fácil de desmaquillar, al igual que el eyeliner de Boho.

Como prebase de sombras he estado todo el mes usando una sombra en stick de Jordana en el tono 04 Continuous Almond (4'75€ aquí). Me aguanta las sombras sin pliegues durante horas, además de neutralizar el tono del párpado. Sería una versión  low-cost, en formato lápiz y cruelty-free de los Paintpot de Mac.

Regarding eyes, I will begin with the Green Liner by Boho Green Revolution (11'50€ here, and review here). 

As my mascara, I have been delighted with the Bio by Avril (7€ here, and review here), which initially did not seem anything special, and made my eyelashes look quite poor, but right now I'm really liking it. Now that the formula has dried a bit, leaves a very nice look on my eyelashes. The best thing is that being a natural product is very easy to remove, like the eyeliner from Boho. 


As a base to my eyeshadows I've been using all month a shadow stick by Jordana in the shade 04 Continuous Almond (4'75€ here). It holds with no creases my eyeshadows for hours, in addition to neutralizing the shade of the eyelid. It is like a low-cost, pencil form and cruelty-free version of the Paintpots by Mac.

En cuanto a sombras, he estado usando día sí y día también mis sombras de Makeup Geek (5'99$ aquí, y review aquí).

Otro favorito sería la paleta en la que las tengo, una paleta de 12 huecos de Coastal Scents que viene imantada (8'75€ aquí), por lo que las sombras de MUG se "pegan" a ella sin problemas. Además, tiene una pestañita junto a cada sombra para que sean más fáciles de sacar. Es resistente, y de buena calidad, y os la recomiendo completamente.

As for eyeshadows, I've been using day in and day out my Makeup Geek eyehadows ($5'99 here, and review here). 

Another favorite would be the palette in which I have them, a magnetized palette for 12 eyeshadows by Coastal Scents (8'75€ here), and since it is magnetized, the MUG shadows "stick" to it without problems. It also has a gap next to each eyeshadow to make them easier to remove. It's tough, and good quality, and I fully recommend it.

Para las mejillas he tirado un montón de la paleta Lace de Sleek, sobre todo del tono que veis a la izquierda (12'75€ aquí, y review aquí).

For the cheeks I've used a lot the Lace palette by Sleek, especially the shade that you see on the left (12'75€ here, and review here).

Y por último, unos favoritos "no maquilliles".
El primero de ellos sería el champú en seco de Batiste en Tropical (3'75€ el bote pequeño aquí, y review aquí). Era el que menos me gustaba de la marca, y empecé a usarlo este mes para gastarlo. Con el uso me ha ido gustando más y más, y el olor incluso ha llegado a agradarme (¿será por que recuerda al verano?).

En cuanto a desmaquillante, he estado usando un agua micelar de Cosmia Green (la marca de Alcampo) (unos 2 ó 3€). Me funciona genial, y por el precio repito una y otra vez.

Por último, mi perfume preferido del momento: el 53F de Larome (tipo Chloé) (20'50€ el bote grande aquí, review aquí). El olor es muy floral y dura todo el día.

And finally, a few non-makeup favorites.

The first one would be the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical (3'75€ for a small one here, and review here). It was my least favorite from the brand, and started using it this month to finish it. With the use I've been liking it more and more, and I have even come to like the of it (maybe because it reminds me of summer?).

As for makeup remover, I have been using a micellar water by Cosmia Green (am Auchan brand) (about 2 or 3€). It works great, and for the price I repeat again and again.

Finally, my favorite perfume of the moment: the 53F by Larome (like Chloé) (20'50€ for 100ml here, review here). The smell is very floral and lasts all day.
