¿Recordáis las brochas del City Kit de Vanity Tools de las que os hablé a principios del año? Había algunas brochas bastante mejorables, y parece que la marca ha tomado nota, y ha sacado una nueva tirada de brochas con bastante diferencia respecto a las anteriores. Gracias a El Outlet del Maquillaje, recibí una de las nuevas tiradas, y hoy os traigo el post con mis opiniones sobre las mismas, y la comparativa con la tanda anterior. Os aviso de que todas las brochas son de pelo de cabra, y si preferís brochas veganas os recomiendo el set Pink&Cheap. ¡Espero que os guste!

Do you remember the City Kit brushes by Vanity Tools, which I reviewed earlier this year? There had some brushes that needed to be improved, and it seems that the brand has taken note and has released a new batch of brushes with such a difference compared to the previous batch. Thanks to El Outlet del Maquillaje, I received the new batch of brushes, and today I'm here to review them for you, and show you the comparison with the previous batch. I have to say  that all this brushes are from goat hair, and if you prefer vegan brushes I recommend you to take a look at the Pink&Cheap set. Hope you like it!

La primera es la Smudge Milano, que es la uso para difuminar el lápiz de ojos cuando quiero un look más ahumado.

Tiene un precio de 5'95€, y es similar a la E21 de Sigma.

The first one is the Smudge Milano  which I use to blend the pencil liner when I want a smokier look. 
It costs €5'95, and is similar to the E21 by Sigma.

Respecto a la tanda anterior, creo que la imagen habla por sí misma: el corte es muchísimo más limpio, el pelo mucho más suave y algo más largo. No hay color. Me encanta la nueva brocha.

Compared to the previous batch, I think the picture speaks for itself: the cut is much cleaner, the hair is much softer and the hair is slightly longer. Such a difference! I love the new one.

La siguiente es la Pencil Paris. Esta brocha la uso para cuando quiero aplicar sombra a ras de pestañas inferiores para un look ahumado, para aplicar sombra por la V externa, o en la banana. Tiene un precio de 5'95€, y es similar a la E30 de Sigma (en la web se ve más puntiaguda la de Sigma, pero en fotos de clientas las veo iguales).

The next one is the Pencil Paris  This is the brush I use when I want to apply eyeshadow on the lower lashes for a smoky look, to apply eyeshadow to the outer V, or on the banana. It costs €5'95, and is similar to the E30 by Sigma (on the website it looks more pointed, but they look so close to the pictures of their clients).

Respecto a la tanda anterior, también ha mejorado notablemente el corte (aunque la anterior tenía mejor aspecto antes de darle todo el yute que le he dado) y el pelo es más suave.

Compared to the previous batch, they had also significantly improved the cut (although the last batch looked better than it looks here before I used it so much) and the hair is softer.

La siguiente brocha me tiene enamorada, y se trata de la Crease Lisbon. La uso para difuminar y aplicar sombras de transición, o contornear zonas pequeñas como la nariz. Tiene un precio de 5'95€, y recuerda a la E35 de Sigma.

I'm really in love with the next brush, and it  is the Crease Lisbon  I use it to blend and apply transition eyeshadows or contouring small areas like the nose. It costs €5'95, and reminds me of the Sigma E35.

La brocha de la tanda anterior ha ido perdiendo forma con el uso que le he dado en estos 9 meses, pero aun así, la diferencia en el corte es innegable. En cuanto a suavidad, la de la tanda anterior no estaba mal, así que la diferencia no es tan abismal como con otras brochas.

The brush of the previous batch has been losing shape with the use I have given to it in these 9 months, but even so, the difference in the cut is undeniable. As for smoothness, the previous batch was OK, so the difference is not as abysmal as with other brushes.

La última brocha de ojos renovada es la Pro Blending Madrid. Esta brocha me encanta para aplicar "sombra base" por todo el párpado móvil y para difuminar de forma precisa. Se supone que esta brocha era la más similar a la E25 de Sigma, pero el nuevo corte es más ancho. Tiene un precio de 5'95€.

The last eyeshadow brush from the new batch is the Pro Blending Madrid.  I love this brush to apply a "base eyeshadow" (skin colored eyeshadow) all over the eyelid and blend accurately. The last batch looked like the Sigma E25,  but the new cut is wider. It costs €5'95.

El cambio respecto a la anterior es increíble. La anterior llegó despeluchada, tuve que quitarle pelitos, y no era de las brochas que más me gustaba del kit. Sin embargo, la nueva no tiene nada que ver, aparte de ser diez veces más suave.

The change from the previous one is amazing. The older batch looked disheveled when it arrived arrived, and I had to cut some hairs. It was not so good. However, the new does not look anything alike, apart from being ten times softer.

Por último, una de las de rostro: la Precision Blush London. Como este modelo llega con el pelo muy compacto, la usé varias veces para que vieses una forma más "fiel" a la que luego tendréis. Me encanta esta brocha para contornear el rostro. Tiene un precio de 7'95€, y es como la F40 de Sigma.

Finally, one of the face: the Precision Blush London. As this model comes very compact, I used it several times so that you'd see how it looks after being used. I love this brush to contour the face. It costs €7'95, and is like the Sigma F40.

Respecto a la anterior, la nueva me vino sin "pelos locos" (a la otra tuve que cortarle pelitos) y es más suave, aunque he de decir que la otra me funcionaba igual de bien (es, junto con la de la nueva tirada, mi brocha preferida para contornear). 

Regarding the other batch, the new me came without "crazy hairs" (I had to cut several hairs from the other one) and it is softer, although I have to say that the other one worked for me just as well (that one is, along with the one from the new batch, my favorite brush for contouring).

En resumen: estoy súper contenta con la nueva tanda, y creo que las imágenes hablan por sí solas. Todas las brochas han mejorado en corte y suavidad, y han mantenido los mismos precios.

Ninguna de las brochas me ha perdido pelos salvo la de rostro, que perdió un par al lavarla.

In short: I'm super happy with the new batch, and I think the images speak for themselves. All brushes have improved in their cut and their softness, and have maintained the same prices.
None of the brushes has shed but the one for the face, which hast lost a couple of hairs while washing it.

Si preferís las brochas veganas, os recomiendo el set Pink&Cheap de la marca, del cual ya os hice review. En casa tenemos dos (uno mío, y otro que le compré a mi hermana por navidad), y me parece un set basicorro pero guay.

If you prefer vegan brushes, I recommend the Pink&Cheap set from the same brand, which I already did review on. At home we have two of them (one mine, and one that I bought for my sister for Christmas), and I think it's a great set.

Makeup Geek - Face Brush Bundle + Extra

¡Buenos días, chicas! A mediados del mes pasado os subí review de las brochas de ojos de Makeup Geek que tengo, y os prometí hacer otra entrada con las de rostro, así que ¡aquí la tenéis! Como podéis ver en la foto, tengo todas las brochas de rostro de la marca disponibles a día de hoy. En la foto podéis verlas con mi mano, para que os hagáis una idea del tamaño de las mismas. Os recuerdo que todas las brochas son sintéticas y cruelty-free. Ninguna de ellas pincha, aunque las de pelo oscuro son algo menos suaves.

Good morning, girls! Last month I uploaded a review of the eyeshadow brushes by Makeup Geek that I have, and I promised to do another post with the face brushes, so here it is! As you can see in the picture, I have all the face brushes from the brand (right now). In the picture you can see them with my hand, to give you an idea of ​​their size. I remind you that all their brushes are synthetic and cruelty-free. All of their face brushes are gentle, although the dark haired ones are somewhat less smooth.

Empezaremos por la brocha de contorno angulada. Por su tamaño, resulta una brocha muy precisa, por lo que si os gusta tener gran precisión a la hora de contornear el rostro, esta es vuestra brocha. También me gusta para aplicar iluminador en zonas clave del rostro. Yo la uso con productos en polvo, y tiene un precio de 8'99$.

We begin with the angled contour brush. Because of its size, it is a very precise brush, so if you like to have precision when contouring the face, this is your brush. I also like it to apply highlighter in the right areas of the face. I use it with powder products, and is priced at $8'99.

La segunda es la brocha redondeada de colorete. Cuando me llegó, lo primero que pensé fue "¿cómo voy a aplicar colorete con una brocha taaaan pequeña?". Al principio de tenerla, la usaba sobre todo para lo mismo que la anterior: contornear e iluminar. Sin embargo, un día me decidí a probarla para colorete, ya que era su fin principal, ¡y me encantó! Es cierto que para muchos coloretes prefiero brochas más grandes que difuminen más rápidamente el producto, sin embargo, este tipo de brocha me ha encantado para usarla con coloretes que pigmentan algo peor o son de tonos mucho más claros. También la uso mucho para cuando quiero aplicar el colorete con mucha precisión, y, aunque al principio no daba un duro por esta brocha, ¡ahora me gusta muchísimo! Tiene un precio de 8'99$.

The second is the rounded blush brush. When it arrived, the first thing I thought was "how the hell would I apply blush with such a small brush?!?". At the beginning of having it, I used it mostly just like my angled contour brush: to contour and highlight. 
However, one day I decided to try it with blush, as it was its main purpose, and loved it! It is true that I generally prefer bigger blush brushes to apply the product faster, however, I've been loving this type of brush to use with less pigmented blushes or the lighter blush shades. I also use it a lot when I want to apply the blush very accurately, and although at first I didn't really like this brush, I now like it a lot! 
It costs $8'99.

La tercera es la brocha para iluminar las mejillas. Esta brocha tipo mofeta es genial tanto con productos en polvo como productos en crema. Yo la uso para el iluminador, el corrector, o incluso para aplicar coloretes en crema o la BB Cream. Me parece una brocha totalmente multiusos, ¡y es suavísima! Tiene un precio de 8'99$, y es una de mis brochas preferidas.

The third one is the cheek highlighter brush. This type of duo-fibre brush is great both for powder products and liquid/cream products. I use it for the highlighter, the concealer, the cream blushes or or even to apply my BB Cream. For me, it is a totally multipurpose brush, and is really soft! It costs $8'99, and is one of my favorite face brushes.

Pasamos ya a las brochas más grandes, y la primera es la Face Buffer Brush. Está indicada para aplicar polvos dejando un acabado pulido en la piel. Es bastante densa y suave, y me gusta reservarla para cuando me paso con el colorete, ya que esta brocha ayuda muchísimo a difuminarlo e integrarlo bien con la piel. Es una brocha fantástica, y tiene un precio de 17'99$.

Let's talk now about the bigger brushes, and the first is the Face Buffer Brush. It is suitable for applying powder leaving a polished finish on the skin. It's pretty dense and soft, and I like it too to blend my blush when I overdid it, because it really helps to integrate it well with the skin. It's a great brush, and is priced at $17'99.

La Foundation Stippling Brush es la típica brocha plana, perfecta para aplicar la base de maquillaje. Me encanta usar esta brocha para aplicar tanto productos en crema como productos en polvo, ya que es bastante densa y muy suave, y ayuda a perfeccionar la piel. Esta brocha me encanta, aunque la última que os enseñaré es muy parecida, y si sólo podéis quedaros con una, yo me quedaría con la siguiente. Tiene un precio de 17'99$.

The Foundation Stippling Brush is the typical flat makeup brush, perfect for applying our foundation. I love using this brush to apply both cream and powder products, as it is quite thick and very smooth, and helps refine the look of our skin. I love this brush, but the next one I will show you is very similar, and if you can only pick one, I would pick with the next. It costs $17'99. 

Por último, la brocha que actualmente es mi favoritísima para aplicar base de maquillaje, tanto en polvo como en crema: la Angled Stippling Brush. El concepto es exactamente el mismo que el de la brocha anterior, aunque en este caso el corte es angulado, además de ser ligeramente más pequeña, por lo que se adapta mejor a las curvas naturales del rostro. Si os tuvieseis que quedar con una sola brocha para base de MUG, os recomendaría esta. Tiene un precio de 15'99$.

Finally, the brush that is currently my most favorite brush to apply foundation, both powder and cream foundation: the Angled Stippling Brush. The concept is exactly the same as the previous brush, although in this case the cut is angled as well as being slightly smaller, so, in my opinion, it is better to adjust to the natural curves of our face. If you could only pick one foundation brush, I'll recommend you this one. It costs $15'99.

Estoy muy contenta, tanto con las brochas de ojos, como con las brochas de rostro de la marca, y os las recomiendo totalmente.

I am very happy with my face and eye brushes from this brand, and I would totally recommend them.

Haul Sammydress - Junio '14

¡Buenos días, chicas!
Hoy vengo con mi segundo haul a Sammydress. En Febrero os enseñé mi primer pedido, con el que quedé bastante contenta, y ahora vengo con el de este mes, siguiendo las mismas pautas: nada de ropa. ¡Pues vuelvo a estar súper contenta! Aquí podéis ver el resumen de mi pedido, con las tres cosillas que cogí, las fotos de la web, y el precio:

Today I come with my second haul from Sammydress  In February I showed you my first order, with which I was quite happy, and now I come to show you the one from this month, following the same pattern: no clothes. I'm so happy again! Here you can see the summary of my order, the three things that I chose, the pictures from the website, and the prices:

Como podéis ver, las fotos eran 100% fiables, y lo que me llegó era exactamente igual a como se veía en fotos.

As you can see, the pictures were 100% reliable, and what I got was exactly as it looked in their pictures.

Lo primero que pedí fue un neceser rosa grande. Son 22cm de longitud, 15 de anchura, y 20 de altura. ¡Caben un montón de cosas! De hecho, normalmente, cuando viajo, llevo dos neceseres, uno con tratamiento, y otro con maquillaje, y en mi último viaje pude llevarlo todo junto en uno. Hubiese preferido otro color, pero todos los demás estaban fuera de stock. Dentro tiene un par de bolsillos y varios compartimentos, además de un espejo. Está rebajado a 6'59€, y creo que merece muchísimo la pena.

The first thing I ordered was a large pink cosmetic bag. It is 22cm long, 15cm wide and 20 high. It holds a lot of stuff in it! In fact, usually, when I travel, I took two bags, one with treatment products and another one with makeup products, and on my last trip I could take it all together in this cosmetic bag. I would have preferred a different color, but all the others were out of stock. Inside, it has a couple of pockets, some small compartments, and a mirror. It is lowered to €6.59, and I think it this is really worth it!

El siguiente es un neceser negro más pequeño. Este mide 23 centímetros de lago, 8 de ancho y 10 de alto. Me gusta un montón, y actualmente guardo en él todos los productos de mi rutina nocturna, y así no me da tanta pereza cuando es hora de acostarse. Este tiene un precio rebajado de 4'87€.

The next one is a smaller black cosmetic bag.This is 23 centimeters long, 8 centimeters wide and 10 centimeters in high. I like a lot, and now I keep in this one all the products that I use for my night routine, to avoid getting lazy to use them when it is bedtime. This is a discounted price of €4.87.

Por último, os enseño un set de brochas que varias de vosotras queríais que probase. Vienen 11 brochas, de las cuales se salvan 9, lo que no está nada mal. Lo que más me gusta es que la de colorete viene repetida, por lo que podemos tener una para colorete, y otra para contornear o iluminar. Tres de las brochas perdieron un pelito, una perdió varios pelos (la sexta por la izquierda), y otra perdió muchísimos pelos (la segunda), por lo que os recomiendo lavarlas concienzudamente, y deshaceros de los pelos sueltos antes de usarlas con ningún producto, especialmente si es en crema. El estuche me gusta mucho, y creo que es genial para viajar. No es el mejor set de brochas del mundo, especialmente porque considero que no tiene ninguna buena brocha para aplicar sombras en polvo, pero por 12'96€ no está mal. Actualmente lo tenéis disponible en morado o rosa.

Finally, I show you a set of brushes that several of you wanted me to test for you. It comes with 11 brushes, and 9 of them are nice, which is not bad. What I like the most is that the blush brush is repeated, so that we can use one of them for blush and the other for contouring or highlighting. Three brushes lost one bristle, one lost several bristles (the sixth from the left), and another lost many bristles (the second one), so I recommend you to wash them thoroughly, and to throw off the loose bristles before using them with any product, especially if you are going to use them for cream products. I really like the case, and I think it's great for traveling. This is not the best set of brushes in the world, especially because I think that it does't have any good brush for applying powder eyeshadows, but it is not bad for its price tag: €12.96. Currently, you have it available in purple or plum.

Como os dije al principio, he vuelto a quedar bastante contenta, y los productos eran tal y como esperaba (incluso mejores).

As I told you before, I'm really happy with this website again, and the products were just as I expected (even better).

He decidido dividir las que tengo en dos posts para que no se haga demasiado largo, y hoy os enseñaré las de ojos que tengo. I have decided to split my collection into two blog posts so it is not as long, and today I'll show you the eye brushes that I have. All their brushes are synthetic, because Makeup Geek is a cruelty-free brand.

La primera brocha sería la Eye Blender Brush. Tiene un corte angulado, y es perfecta para difuminar sombras de ojos, y también para definir de forma suave el look. Me encanta usarla para aplicar sombra en el arco de la ceja, por su tamaño y forma.
Tiene un precio de 7'99$.

The first brush would be the Eye Blender Brush.  Because of its angled cut, it is perfect for blending eye shadows, and also to define the look smoothly. I love using it to apply shadow on the brow bone because of its size and shape. 
It is priced at $7.99.

La brocha Outer V Brush es, como su nombre indica, perfecta para la zona de la V externa. Es densa, compacta, y muy suave. Me encanta usarla para oscurecer el look en la zona externa, y para aplicar iluminador en el arco de cupido.
También cuesta 7'99$.

The Outer V Brush is, as the name suggests, perfect for the outer V area. It is dense, compact, and very smooth. I love using it to darken the look in the outer zone, and to apply highlighter on the cupid's bow. 
It is also priced at $7.99.

La Smokey Eye Brush es una brocha de punta redondeada, perfecta para realizar cómodamente un look ahumado. Difumina muy bien de forma precisa, y es muy suave, a pesar de su apariencia.
El precio es el mismo, 7'99$.

The Smokey Eye Brush is a rounded tip brush, perfect for doing an easy smokey eye. Its great to blend very accurately, and is very soft, despite of its appearance. 
The price is the same, $7.99.

Por último, tenemos la Stiff Dome Brush, una brocha muy similar a la 217 de Mac, perfecta para difuminar sombras, o el corrector debajo de la ojera.
El precio es también el mismo, 7'99$, pero por desgracia estará fuera de stock hasta septiembre.

Finally, we have the Stiff Dome Brush  very similar to the Mac 217 brush, perfect for blending eyeshadows or concealer under the eye. 
The price is also the same, $7.99, but unfortunately it will be out of stock until September.

Me parecen unas brochas de muy buena calidad, a muy buen precio (unos 6€), y yo estoy súper contenta con ellas.

I find them to be very good quality brushes at a great price (about €6), and I'm super happy with them.

Vanity Tools - Metal Glam

¡Feliz juernes, chicas!
Hoy vengo con el review de las nuevas brochas de Vanity Tools, que llevo tres semanas probando: las Metal Glam. Recuerdan muchísimo a las de Real Techniques, con la virola de aluminio de color, y el mango de goma. Son brochas veganas, y con esto quiero decir que el "pelo" es de fibras sintéticas, aunque para mi funcionan mejor con productos en polvo que con productos en crema.

Today I am here with the review of the new brushes by Vanity Tools, that I have been testing for three weeks: the Metal Glam  They remind me a lot to the ones by Real Techniques, with a colored aluminum ferrule and a rubber grip. This brushes are vegan, and with this I mean that the bristles are synthetic fibers, but for me they work better with powder products than with cream products. 
Right now, on the website of El Outlet del Maquillaje you can buy the complete set for €29.95, or each of the individual brushes from €7.95. I hope you like them!

En primer lugar nos encontramos con la brocha redonda. Como veis, tiene el aspecto de una brocha para aplicar polvos, de forma curva. Para mi, es la brocha perfecta para sellar el maquillaje, ya que coge la cantidad justa de producto para que no nos quede el rostro acartonado, pero se selle correctamente.

First we have the round brush. As you see, it looks like a perfect powder brush, with a curved shape. 
For me, it is the perfect brush to finish the makeup because it gets the right amount of product to seal the makeup without looking cakey.

En cuanto a Real Techniques, yo uso la Buffing Brush de la marca para sellar con polvos, pero son dos brochas completamente diferentes. La de RT es más densa, por lo que la uso cuando quiero un acabado más empolvado, y la de VT para cuando quiero un acabado más natural. Como siempre, es cuestión de gustos.

On the Real Techniques ones, I use the Buffing Brush from this brand to seal with powder, but they are two completely different brushes. The RT is more dense, so I use it when I want a more powdery finish, and the VT one for when I want a more natural finish. As always, it is a matter of preferences.

La siguiente es una brocha que me tiene enamorada, la brocha plana del set. Muchas me dijisteis que el corte os recordaba a la F80 de Sigma, pero es menos densa y más flexible. Al principio pensé en usarla para aplicar las BB Creams, pero el pelo es demasiado flexible para mi gusto. Sin embargo, para aplicar mi base mineral es perfecta, y la recomiendo al 100%.

The next one is a brush that I'm seriously in love with, the flat brush from the set. Many of you said to me that it reminded you of the  F80 by Sigma, but is less dense and more flexible. At first I thought to use it to apply BB Creams, but the bristles are too flexible for my taste. However, it is perfect to apply mineral foundation, and I recommend it a 100%.

La Stippling Brush de Real Techniques es más bajita, menos densa, pero con el pelo algo más firme. Para productos en crema prefiero la de RT, pero para productos en polvo es pésima, y me quedo mil veces antes con la de VT.

The Stippling Brush by Real Techniques is shorter, less dense, but the hair slightly firmer. I prefer this one for cream products like BB Creams, but for powder is awful, and I much prefer the one by VT.

Mi otra favorita es la brocha en punta del set. Aunque recuerde a la Blush Brush de RT, luego veréis que no tienen nada que ver. La de VT es más precisa, y la considero una brocha multiusos. Me gusta para aplicar colorete, contorno, iluminador,... 

My other favorite is the pointed brush from the set. Although it might remind you to the Blush Brush by RT, you will see in a comparison on the picture below that they are quite different. The one by VT is more precise, and I consider it a multipurpose brush. I like to apply blush, contour, highlighter,...

Aquí la podéis ver junto a la Blush Brush, que es bastante más grande. Me gustan ambas brochas. La de VT es más tupida y compacta, por lo que la prefiero para cuando necesito aplicar el producto de manera más precisa, y, además, coge mayor cantidad de producto, por lo que funciona mejor con los productos que pigmentan menos. La de RT no me convence para productos poco pigmentados, ya que coge una cantidad muy justa de producto, pero, sin embargo, me gusta más para cuando tengo que aplicar productos muy pigmentados, sin acabar pareciendo un payaste.

Here you can see it next to the Blush Brush, which is much bigger. I like both brushes. The one by VT is more dense and compact, so I prefer it when I need to apply the product more precisely, and also gets more product, so it works better with less pigmented products. The one by RT does not convince me to use poorly pigmented products because it doesn't get enough amount of product, but, however, I like it better when I have to apply highly pigmented products, without looking like a clown.

Por último, encontramos la brocha biselada. Por su forma angulada, me gusta para aplicar contorno, o bronceador, tanto en polvo como en crema. 

Finally, we have the beveled brush. Because of its angled shape, I like it to apply contour or bronzer, both powder and cream.

Como no tengo ninguna brocha biselada de RT, he decidido compararla con otra de la misma marca, en este caso del City Kit (del que tenéis review aquí), aunque, aparte del corte, no tienen mucho que ver la una con la otra. La del City Kit es de pelo natural, y bastante menos gruesa, por lo que resulta ideal para aplicar contorno de forma más precisa. Al ser de pelo de cabra, coge más cantidad de producto que la de las Metal Glam. Sin embargo, la de las Metal Glam tiene a su favor que es más multiusos.

As I haven't got any beveled brush by RT, I decided to compare it with another from the same brand, in this case from the City Kit (which I have review on here), but, apart from the shape, they do not have much in common. The one from the City Kit has natural bristles, and is less thick, making it ideal for applying contour more precisely. Being goat hair, gets more product than the one from the Metal Glam Set. However, the one from the Metal Glam works as a multipurpose brush.

El set me ha gustado muchísimo, y la verdad es que me encantaría que sacasen más brochas de las Metal Glam, ya que, aunque recuerden a la RT, los cortes son distintos, y me parece que se complementan perfectamente. Además, son más económicas que las RT en España.

I really liked the set, and the truth is that I would love if they bring out more of the ¡ Metal Glam brushes because, although they might remember me to RT, the shapes are different, and I think they complement each other perfectly. They are also cheaper than RT in Spain.
