The Clone Wars - Naked Basics (Urban Decay)

¡Buenas tardes! ¿Cómo lleváis la semana?
Hoy vengo a traeros un post que creo que os va a gustar bastante, y es el segundo de La Guerra de los Clones. En este caso, "enfrentaré" dos paletas: mi amada Naked Basics de Urban Decay, y la Ever After Matte Palette de Makeup Academy.
La diferencia del packaging es evidente, y sin duda alguna gana Urban Decay en este aspecto.

I come to bring you a post that I think you'll like it a lot, and is the second one about my The Clone Wars series. In this case, I "will face" two palettes: my beloved Urban Decay's Naked Basics, and Makeup Academy's Ever After Matte Palette.
The difference of the packaging is evident, and without any doubt Urban Decay wins in this aspect.

En la parte trasera de la Naked Basics podemos ver que trae un total de 7'8 gramos de producto, frente a los 10 gramos de producto de la paleta de MUA.

At the back of the Naked Basics palette we can see that it has 7'8 total grams of product compared to 10 grams of product on MUA's palette.

En cuanto al grosor son muy similares, aunque la Basics es mucho más compacta y resistente para viajar, y con la de MUA tendremos que tener más cuidado.

In thickness they are very similar, although the Basics is much more compact and resistent for travel, and with the MUA one wi will have to be more careful.

Podemos ver que la paleta de UD contiene 6 sombras, frente a las 10 de Makeup Academy. Ambas se mueven por tonalidades similares, y, como podemos ver, parece que comparten muchos colores.

We can see that the UD palette contains 6 eyeshadows, compared to the 10 of Makeup Academy's. Both have very similar hues, and, as we see, they seem to share many colors.

Una vez swatcheadas es donde realmente podemos hablar de clones o no. La sombra Venus (la primera de la Naked Basics) es satinada, por lo que no la comparé con la de MUA, ya que obviamente no podían ser clones. A la izquierda hice el swatch de UD, y a la derecha coloqué el tono más similar de MUA, y este es el resultado:

Foxy parece idéntica a Butter: dos sombras de un tono amarillo claro que me encanta utilizar para unificar el tono del párpado, puesto que al tener la piel tan clara, no me sirve para iluminar.
Walk Of Shame es similar a Bare, aunque se puede apreciar la diferencia en el swatch.
Naked 2 es muy parecida a Chino, aunque Chino tiene un punto más gris.
Faint es idéntica en tono a Penny.
Crave es un marrón muy oscuro, aunque comparándola con Smoke parece negra, porque esta última es más marrón.

Once swatcheadas is where we can really talk about dupes or not. The Venus eyeshadow (the first one of the Naked Basics) has a satin finish, so it is not comparable to the MUA, as obviously they can't be dupes. On the left side I did the swatch of UD's, and on the right I placed MUA's similar shade, and this is the result:

Foxy seems identical to Butter: two light yellow shades that I love to use to unify the eyelid, as having pale skin, I can't use them to highlight.
Walk Of Shame is similar to Bare, although you can appreciate the difference in the swatch.
Naked 2 is very similar to Chino, but Chino is a bit more greyish.
Faint is identical in tone to Penny.
Crave is a very dark brown, but next to Smoke looks like black, because Smoke is more brown.

Personalmente creo que es una magnífica alternativa para todas aquellas que no puedan (o no quieran) permitirse la paleta de Urban Decay. Obviamente, la calidad de las sombras no es la misma: las de UD son más pigmentadas y sedosas, mientras que las de MUA son algo más tizosas y he tenido que insistir algo más para que el color fuese igual de vibrante. También es verdad que con la paleta de MUA tenéis una mayor variedad, y yo creo que si no tenéis la Basics y queréis una paleta de sombras mate del tipo de la de UD, deberíais haceros con esta, ya que por el precio que tiene, merece muchísimo la pena.
Como sabéis, la Naked Basics podéis conseguirla en Sephora por 25€, y la Ever After en la web de Maquillalia por 4'99€.

Os dejo un resumen de qué paleta creo que gana en cada aspecto, para que decidáis cuál de las dos preferís:

Personally I think it's a great alternative for those who can not (or don't want to) afford the Urban Decay palette. Obviously, the quality of the eyeshadows is not the same: the UD ones are more pigmented and silky, while the MUA ones are more chalky and I had to insist a bit more with the swatches to get a color as vibrant as "the original". It is also true that with the MUA palette you will have more variety, and I think if you do not have the Basics and you want a matte eyeshadow palette similar to the UD one, you should purchase this one, because for the price it has, it is really worth it.

As you know, you can get the Naked Basics at Sephora for 25€, and the Ever After in Maquillalia's website for 4'99€.

Como sabréis, sigo sin cámara, y estoy usando la de mi hermana, pero no podía usar temporizador para hacerme una foto a mi misma con las gafas, por lo que la saqué con el móvil. Siento que la calidad no sea óptima, pero creo que al menos el modelo se ve bien, que es lo importante. ¿Qué os parecen?

As you may know, I haven't got my camera yet, and I'm using my sisters', but it haven't got a timer to do a self-shoot with the glasses, so I took it with my mobile phone. Ecco-Verde España (Mini-Haul)

¡Feliz  martes! Hoy os traigo un post de las cosillas que adquirí en mi último haul a Ecco-Verde, hace cosa de 3 meses, aprovechando que estrenaban web española. Quería probar primero los productos para hablaros también de ellos, y, aunque son poquitos, espero que os gusten.

Today I bring you a post of the little things that I acquired in my last Ecco-Verde's haul from 3 months ago, taking advantage of the opening of their Spanish website. I wanted to try first the products give my impressions about them too, and though they are few, I hope you like them.

El primero de los productos es una manteca corporal con olor a rosas de la marca Bioturm Naturkosmetik. Como ya sabréis, soy una apasionada de las mantecas corporales, y pensé que el pedido era una buena oportunidad para probar.

The first product is a rose scented body butter by Bioturm Naturkosmetik. 
As you know, I am a passionate about body butters, and I thought that this order was a good opportunity to try a new one.

Lo cierto es que el olor a rosas es muy sutil, pero huele genial a limpio. Yo adquirí el tarro de 50ml (el más pequeño), a un precio de 4'95€.
Yo tengo las piernas sequísimas, y para esa zona, esta manteca se me queda algo corta (la recomendaría para pieles de normales a ligeramente secas), sin embargo, para los brazos, me ha ido de lujo.
Repetiría para aplicar en la zona de los brazos, aunque probaría algún otro olor (como el de Granada, que me da bastante curiosidad).

The truth is that the rose smell is very subtle, but it smells great (like "clean"). 
I purchased 50ml jar (the smallest one), at a price of €4'95.
I have the really dry legs, and to that area, this butter is not enough for me (this one is recommended for normal to slightly dry skin), however, for the arms, it works wonders.
I will buy it again to apply in the arms, but maybe I will try some other odor (such as the Pomegranate one, which I'm quite curious about).

El siguiente producto que adquirí, también de la marca Bioturm, fue una leche desmaquillante para pieles secas. Yo tengo la piel grasa, pero deshidratada, y, como igualmente me lavo después de usar cualquier desmaquillante, no me importa que sea excesivamente emoliente.

The next product I purchased, also from the brand Bioturm, was a cleansing milk for dry skin. 
I have oily skin, but dehydrated, and as I also wash my face after using any cleanser, I do not care if a cleanser is too emollient.

Sobre este producto, he de decir que a mi me huele genial, y retira perfectamente el maquillaje. No lo uso en los ojos, porque prefiero usar bifásicos que leches desmaquillantes en esa zona.
Quería empezar a usar desmaquillantes más naturales (uso este en el rostro, y un bifásico casero en los ojos), y la verdad es que estoy súper contenta. El precio del bote de 200ml es de 14'89€, algo caro, pero dura bastante, y creo que merece la pena.
El único problema que les veo a los productos de Bioturm es que sólo indican la fecha de caducidad, pero no el tiempo en el que es preferible gastar el producto una vez abierto.

About this product, I have to say that to me it smells great, and removes makeup perfectly. I do not use in the eyes, because I prefer to use a biphasic cleanser in that area.
I wanted to start using more natural cleansers (I use this in the face, and a homemade biphasic cleanser in the eyes), and the truth is that I'm so happy with them. The price of the cleanser is €14'89 per 200ml, somewhat pricey, but it lasts a lot, and I think its worth it.
The only problem that I see is that Bioturm products only indicate the expiration date, but not the time that is better to spent on product once opened.

Por último, compré un tratamiento capilar de coco de la marca CMD, que además, es vegano. A pesar de que en la web viene la cantidad indicada, el bote era más pequeño de lo que esperaba, pero me está durando mucho más de lo que creía, ¡cunde un montón!

Finally, I bought a coconut hair treatment by the brand CMD, which is also vegan. 
Even though the amount is indicated on the website, the pot was smaller than I expected, but it is lasting much more than I thought, so it will last quite some time for me!

La web dice que es para el cuidado y peinado del cabello, y se puede usar como crema de peinado, aunque en mi caso, sólo en las puntas. Normalmente lo uso como mascarilla para el pelo, o después del champú, a modo de acondicionador. Noto que deja el pelo brillante, y mejora en apariencia con un uso constante. También he oído de gente hablando del producto a las mil maravillas como desmaquillante.
Tiene un precio de 4'99€ por 50ml., aunque en este caso no sé si repetiría, porque me gusta probar nuevos productos para el pelo, y a este bote todavía le queda mucho uso.
También tenéis la opción de comprar directamente un bote de aceite de coco orgánico de 200ml por 9'59€, o de 500ml por 19'19€, que es uno de sus productos más vendidos.

The website says it is for the care and hair styling, and can be used as a styling cream, but in my case, only at the ends/tips. 
Normally I use it as a hair mask, or after shampooing, as a conditioner. I feel that it leaves my hair quite shiny, and it improves it in appearance with constant use.
I've also heard of people talking about the product like a charm as face cleansing product.
It costs €4'99 for 50ml., although in this case I do not know if I will purchase it again, because I like to try new hair products, and this product still has much use.
You also have the option to directly purchase a can of organic coconut oil for €9'59 per 200ml or 500ml for €19'19, which is one of their best sellers.

No era la primera vez que pedía a la web (podéis ver mi anterior mini-haul), y estoy segura de que no será la última. Me encanta poder buscar los productos en su web por certificados, y la gran variedad de productos y marcas que tienen.
El paquete venía de Austria, y me tardó una semana. En la web podéis consultar sus gastos de envío, gratis a partir de 59'95€.

It was not the first time that I ordered to the website (you can see my previous mini-haul), and I'm sure it will not be the last time. I love being able to look for products on their website by certificates, and the wide variety of products and brands they have.
The package came from Austria, and it took a week to arrive to Spain. On the website you can check the shipping, and I think that they ship worldwide.

Favoritos - Octubre '13

¡Feliz sábado! ¿Qué tal habéis empezado el puente?
Como ya terminamos el mes, vengo a enseñaros los que han sido mis favoritos de Octubre. Había otros productos que quería incluir porque me están encantando, pero como sólo los he usado al final del mes, he decidido dejarlos para el próximo post de favoritos. ¡¡Allá vamos!

Happy saturday! How did your weekend started?
As the month has come to its end, I come today to show you those who have been my favorites of October. There were other products that I've been loving and I wanted to include, but as I've only used them at the end of the month, I decided to leave them for the next favorites post.
Let's start!

Primeramente os hablaré de mis coloretes favoritos. Soy una yonki de los coloretes, y me ha llamado la atención que, teniendo tantos como tengo, haya estado tirando de los más económicos, lo que demuestra que no siempre tenemos que gastar mucho dinero para tener un buen producto.
Mis dos coloretes preferidos del mes han sido los dos de abajo: el Rose Nacré de Avril Beauté, y el New York de Fashionista. Ambos son coloretes que funcionan con prácticamente cualquier look, y son geniales para diario. No son coloretes con una pigmentación excesiva, por lo que me vienen genial para los días que me maquillo con prisas, y así puedo pasarme un buen brochazo de colorete sin temor a parecer Heidi. El resto de coloretes de la paleta de Fashionista también los he utilizado muchísimo, y actualmente tiro siempre de ella cuando "no quiero pensar".

First I will talk you about my favorite blushes. I am a blush junkie, and I was struck that, having as many blushes as I have, I've been using the most economic ones, proving that we don't always have to spend much money to have a good product.
My two favorite blushes of this month were the two from the bottom: the Rose Nacré by Avril Beauté, and the New York by Fashionista. Both are blushes that work with virtually any outfit, and they are great for everyday. 
There aren't blushes with excessive pigmentation, so they work great for me for those days that I make up in a hurry, and so I can use a good dab of blush without fear of looking like Heidi. 
The rest of the blushes from my Fashionista Palette have being well loved this month too, and I always use this palette when I don't want to think about what blush to use.

En cuanto a mis sombras preferidas del mes, tengo tres claras ganadoras: la sombra "tipo Club" de la paleta Comfort Zone de Wet n' Wild para cuando quería un look más marcado/divertido, la sombra Moondust de Elf para looks de diario, y mi sombra negra preferida del mundo mundial, la Corrupt de Makeup Geek, perfecta para delinear.

As for my favorite eyeshadows of the month, I have three obvious winners: the eyeshadow "like Mac's Club" from the Comfort Zone Palette by Wet n 'Wild for when I wanted a more dramatic/fun look, the eyeshado Moondust by Elf for daily looks, and my favorite black eyeshadow all over the world, Corrupt by Makeup Geek, perfect for outlining.

Mi labial preferido ha sido sin duda el Dolce Vita de NARS. Se trata de un labial "Sheer", poco cubriente. Da un poco de tono a mis labios, dejándolos naturales pero con un tono muy sano y algo de brillo. Me encanta porque pega con todo, y es muy cómodo de llevar.

My favorite lipstick has been without doubt the NARS Dolce Vita. This is a sheer lipstick. 
It's a sheer browny rose on my lips, leaving them natural but with a very healthy tone and some shine. I love it because it looks great with any look and is very comfortable to wear.

En cuanto a máscaras, estas dos podría decirse que van en pack. La primera es la I Love Extreme de Essence, mi preferida para las pestañas superiores, aunque ahora que se está secando, me deja algunos grumos en las pestañas. La otra máscara es la "Volumen Extremo" de By The Face, mi preferida para las pestañas inferiores. Ambas tienen un precio genial.

Regarding mascaras, these two work in pack for me. 
The first is the Essence I Love Extreme mascara, my choice for the top lashes, but now that it is drying, it is starting to look a bit clumpy. 
The other mascara is "Volumen Extremo" by By The Face, my favorite one for lower lashes. 
Both are priced great.

Mi producto preferido como iluminador  ha sido el Mineral Powder en Mineral Light de Luxuria Cosmetics. Son unos polvos minerales que dan muchísima luminosidad al rostro, por lo que os los recomiendo a todas aquellas que os guste una piel con efecto "glow". Como yo tengo la piel grasa (y últimamente, por alguna razón, más que de costumbre), los utilizo a modo de iluminador, y tengo que decir que son una maravilla.

My favorite product as a highlighter was de Mineral Light Mineral Powder by Luxuria Cosmetics. 
They give a lot of light if you use them on your whole face, so I recommend it to all those you like "glowing skin" effect. Since I have oily skin (and lately, for some reason, more than usual), I use it as a highlighter, and I have to say that it is an amazing product.

Este es un producto que llevo usando menos de un mes, pero una goma de pelo tampoco creo que necesite una observación intensiva para incluirla en mis favoritos. Se trata de las Invisibobble. Vienen en un pack de tres (en la foto falta una porque la llevaba puesta), y ya no me separo de ellas... Me recogen bien el pelo sin dejar marca, ni estropearlo. Un problema que tengo yo es que cuando me recojo el pelo se me queda enseguida la marca, y si luego lo quiero volver a soltar, queda fatal... Teniendo el pelo tan largo, estoy continuamente soltándolo y recogiéndolo para que no me moleste, así que las Invisibobble se han ganado un puesto fijo en mi muñeca y mi pelo.

This is a product I've been using less than a month, but I do not think that I need that intensive observation to include a hair tie it in my favorites. 
These are the Invisibobble. They come in a three pack (in the picture there is one missing because I was wearing it), and I do not separate myself from them... They can be used on the hair without leaving a mark, or a mess. One problem I have is that when I do a ponytail, it leaves stronge marks on my hair, and then if I want to drop, it looks horrendous... Finally, the brushes that undoubtedly have been the most used this month.
The first one is an eyeliner brush by Ecotools, and second one, the base shadow brush by Real Techniques. I have been using both of them almost daily with the eyeshadows that I previously showed you.
