Hoy os dejo con un blog de los que tenía guardados en la "recámara" para no dejar esto mucho tiempo abandonado, pero tengo que avisar de que tengo el blog algo pausado porque estoy "recién operada", y no me encuentro del todo bien, por lo que he decidido bajar el ritmo con el blog. Espero que lo entendáis.

En el post de hoy vengo a hablaros sobre mi tónico preferido, ya que pronto se me va a acabar, y creo que es el momento perfecto para hablaros de él antes de enseñarlo en productos terminados.
El tónico es de la marca Dr. Alkaitis, cuyo lema adoro: "Si no puedes comerlo, ¡no lo pongas en tu piel!". Sus productos están hechos con ingredientes orgánicos tan naturales que pueden incluso ser ingeridos (hierbas, vegetales, frutas,...)
Actualmente han cambiado el packaging, por lo que mis fotos no reflejan el diseño del producto actual, pero podéis verlo en su web americana.

Today I'm here with with a blog post that I was waiting to publish while I'm on a sick leave, and I have to say that I'm not uploading as much entries because I got a surgery done some days ago, and I do not feel quite right, so I decided to slow down with the number of blogposts. I hope you understand it. 

In today's post I come to speak about my favorite tonic, because I will finish it soon, and I think it is the perfect time to tell you about it before showing it to you on a "finished products" post.
The tonic is by the brand Dr. Alkaitis, whose slogan I love: "If you can not eat it, do not put it on your skin!". Their products are made with natural organic ingredients so that they can even be ingested (herbs, vegetables, fruits, ...) 
Currently, they have changed the packaging, so my pictures do not reflect the actual product design, but you can see it in its American website.

El "Organic Soothing Gel", a pesar del nombre, es un tónico más líquido que gel, pero con la densidad perfecta para poder aplicarlo con las manos (limpias). Se trata de un tónico antibacteriano compuesto de hierbas orgánicas certificadas, flores, y alcohol, que prometen aliviar los síntomas de la piel irritada y sensible. Es ideal para condiciones como acné (mi caso), eccemas o rosácea (también mi caso), y también sirve para aliviar la piel tras la depilación o daño solar. El producto no lleva ningún tipo de ingrediente químico, sintétetico, u organismos genéticamente modificados.
A la derecha podéis ver la lista de todos sus ingredientes. Aquellos con un "*" tienen certificado de crecimiento orgánico, y aquellos con "º" significa que han sido obtenidos de forma ética (podéis hacer click para ver la imagen en grande).

The "Organic Soothing Gel", despite the name, is a tonic with more of a liquid consistency than a gel one, but with the perfect density to apply it with our hands (clean). It is an antibacterial tonic compound of certified organic herbs, flowers, and alcohol, which promise to alleviate the symptoms of irritated and sensitive skin. It is ideal for conditions like acne (my case), eczema or rosacea (also my case), and also serves to soothe the skin after waxing or sun damage. The product excludes rigorously all chemicals, synthetic, genetically modified organisms and their derivates. 
On the right you can see the list of all the ingredients. Those with a "*" have a certified of organic growth, and those with "º" ethical and sustainably obtained (you can click to see it closer).

El tónico se usa aplicándolo sobre la piel limpia con las yemas de los dedos, masajeando hasta que se absorbe.
Tiene un olor muy natural, y la sensación al aplicarlo en el rostro es fresca y agradable. Me encanta porque, pese a estar hecho de ingredientes naturales, es el tónico que mejor me funciona. Siento que realmente calma mi piel, y, cuando lo uso, lo noto muchísimo, no sé si por la propia acción antibacteriana del producto, o por su buena función a la hora de ayudar a que se absorban otros tratamientos, pero me ayuda a controlar las imperfecciones de la piel, y noto mejoría.

The tonic is used by applying it to clean skin with fingertips and massaging until absorbed. 
It has a very natural smell, and the feel when applied to the face is nice and cool. I love it because, despite it being made ​​from natural ingredients, is the tonic that works the best for me. I feel that it really calms my skin, and when I use it, I can really tell a difference, I do not know if because of the antibacterial action of the product itself, or its good role in helping to absorb other treatments, but it helps me to control imperfections of the skin, and I noticed an improvement.

Lo único que no me gusta es que el dispensador que tiene tiende a quedarse "sucio" con algo de producto seco del uso anterior, aunque lo han cambiado, por lo que espero que no pase con el nuevo diseño.
El otro "contra" es el precio, que ronda los 50 y algo euros (según dónde se compre, el mío fue un regalo). Es mucho dinero, pero también es cierto que dura mucho tiempo, no tiene ingredientes peligrosos, y, lo más importante: funciona (al menos a mi, y a las personas que conozco que lo han probado). Es un producto de alta gama que no está al alcance de todo el mundo (por desgracia), pero creo que merece mucho la pena.

The only thing I dislike is that the dispenser tends to get "dirty" with some dry product, although they have changed it now, so I hope that this does not happen with the new design. 
The other "con" is the price, which is around 50-something euros (depending where you buy it, mine was a gift). It's a lot of money, but it is also true that it lasts quite a lot of time, has no hazardous ingredients, and most important: it really works (at least to me, and people I know who tried it). It is a high-end product whose price might not be available to everyone (unfortunately), but I think it's really worth it.

It's definitely my favorite tonic, and would buy it again and again if I could. As it is an expensive product, I try to alternate it with other natural tonics when I don't have bad skin to make it last longer. Expires in 12 months, and for the alternate use I give it, the expiration date is perfect.

Sin duda es mi tónico preferido, y lo compraría una y otra vez si me fuese posible. Como es un producto caro, procuro alternarlo con otros tónicos naturales cuando no tengo la piel mal para que me dure más tiempo. Caduca 12 meses, y con el uso alterno que yo le doy es el tiempo perfecto para gastarlo.

Ecco-Verde España (Mini-Haul)

¡Feliz  martes! Hoy os traigo un post de las cosillas que adquirí en mi último haul a Ecco-Verde, hace cosa de 3 meses, aprovechando que estrenaban web española. Quería probar primero los productos para hablaros también de ellos, y, aunque son poquitos, espero que os gusten.

Today I bring you a post of the little things that I acquired in my last Ecco-Verde's haul from 3 months ago, taking advantage of the opening of their Spanish website. I wanted to try first the products give my impressions about them too, and though they are few, I hope you like them.

El primero de los productos es una manteca corporal con olor a rosas de la marca Bioturm Naturkosmetik. Como ya sabréis, soy una apasionada de las mantecas corporales, y pensé que el pedido era una buena oportunidad para probar.

The first product is a rose scented body butter by Bioturm Naturkosmetik. 
As you know, I am a passionate about body butters, and I thought that this order was a good opportunity to try a new one.

Lo cierto es que el olor a rosas es muy sutil, pero huele genial a limpio. Yo adquirí el tarro de 50ml (el más pequeño), a un precio de 4'95€.
Yo tengo las piernas sequísimas, y para esa zona, esta manteca se me queda algo corta (la recomendaría para pieles de normales a ligeramente secas), sin embargo, para los brazos, me ha ido de lujo.
Repetiría para aplicar en la zona de los brazos, aunque probaría algún otro olor (como el de Granada, que me da bastante curiosidad).

The truth is that the rose smell is very subtle, but it smells great (like "clean"). 
I purchased 50ml jar (the smallest one), at a price of €4'95.
I have the really dry legs, and to that area, this butter is not enough for me (this one is recommended for normal to slightly dry skin), however, for the arms, it works wonders.
I will buy it again to apply in the arms, but maybe I will try some other odor (such as the Pomegranate one, which I'm quite curious about).

El siguiente producto que adquirí, también de la marca Bioturm, fue una leche desmaquillante para pieles secas. Yo tengo la piel grasa, pero deshidratada, y, como igualmente me lavo después de usar cualquier desmaquillante, no me importa que sea excesivamente emoliente.

The next product I purchased, also from the brand Bioturm, was a cleansing milk for dry skin. 
I have oily skin, but dehydrated, and as I also wash my face after using any cleanser, I do not care if a cleanser is too emollient.

Sobre este producto, he de decir que a mi me huele genial, y retira perfectamente el maquillaje. No lo uso en los ojos, porque prefiero usar bifásicos que leches desmaquillantes en esa zona.
Quería empezar a usar desmaquillantes más naturales (uso este en el rostro, y un bifásico casero en los ojos), y la verdad es que estoy súper contenta. El precio del bote de 200ml es de 14'89€, algo caro, pero dura bastante, y creo que merece la pena.
El único problema que les veo a los productos de Bioturm es que sólo indican la fecha de caducidad, pero no el tiempo en el que es preferible gastar el producto una vez abierto.

About this product, I have to say that to me it smells great, and removes makeup perfectly. I do not use in the eyes, because I prefer to use a biphasic cleanser in that area.
I wanted to start using more natural cleansers (I use this in the face, and a homemade biphasic cleanser in the eyes), and the truth is that I'm so happy with them. The price of the cleanser is €14'89 per 200ml, somewhat pricey, but it lasts a lot, and I think its worth it.
The only problem that I see is that Bioturm products only indicate the expiration date, but not the time that is better to spent on product once opened.

Por último, compré un tratamiento capilar de coco de la marca CMD, que además, es vegano. A pesar de que en la web viene la cantidad indicada, el bote era más pequeño de lo que esperaba, pero me está durando mucho más de lo que creía, ¡cunde un montón!

Finally, I bought a coconut hair treatment by the brand CMD, which is also vegan. 
Even though the amount is indicated on the website, the pot was smaller than I expected, but it is lasting much more than I thought, so it will last quite some time for me!

La web dice que es para el cuidado y peinado del cabello, y se puede usar como crema de peinado, aunque en mi caso, sólo en las puntas. Normalmente lo uso como mascarilla para el pelo, o después del champú, a modo de acondicionador. Noto que deja el pelo brillante, y mejora en apariencia con un uso constante. También he oído de gente hablando del producto a las mil maravillas como desmaquillante.
Tiene un precio de 4'99€ por 50ml., aunque en este caso no sé si repetiría, porque me gusta probar nuevos productos para el pelo, y a este bote todavía le queda mucho uso.
También tenéis la opción de comprar directamente un bote de aceite de coco orgánico de 200ml por 9'59€, o de 500ml por 19'19€, que es uno de sus productos más vendidos.

The website says it is for the care and hair styling, and can be used as a styling cream, but in my case, only at the ends/tips. 
Normally I use it as a hair mask, or after shampooing, as a conditioner. I feel that it leaves my hair quite shiny, and it improves it in appearance with constant use.
I've also heard of people talking about the product like a charm as face cleansing product.
It costs €4'99 for 50ml., although in this case I do not know if I will purchase it again, because I like to try new hair products, and this product still has much use.
You also have the option to directly purchase a can of organic coconut oil for €9'59 per 200ml or 500ml for €19'19, which is one of their best sellers.

No era la primera vez que pedía a la web (podéis ver mi anterior mini-haul), y estoy segura de que no será la última. Me encanta poder buscar los productos en su web por certificados, y la gran variedad de productos y marcas que tienen.
El paquete venía de Austria, y me tardó una semana. En la web podéis consultar sus gastos de envío, gratis a partir de 59'95€.

It was not the first time that I ordered to the website (you can see my previous mini-haul), and I'm sure it will not be the last time. I love being able to look for products on their website by certificates, and the wide variety of products and brands they have.
The package came from Austria, and it took a week to arrive to Spain. On the website you can check the shipping, and I think that they ship worldwide.

Apple Island Naturals

¡Hola, chicas! ¡Por fin estoy de vuelta por aquí! ¿Cómo os ha ido el verano?

Hoy vengo a hablaros de un review que tenía pendiente desde hace mucho tiempo, el de Apple Island Naturals.

Se trata de una pequeña marca canadiense de productos hechos a mano. Kathy, que es un cielo, se ofreció amablemente a enviar algunos de los productos para que probase, y la verdad es que son fantásticos. ¡Ojalá pudieseis oler las fotos!

Today I'm here to do a review that I had pending since many time ago, from the brand Apple Island Naturals.
It is a small canadian brand which sells handmade products. The lovely Kathy sent me some of their products to try them, and they are really fantastic. I wish you could smell the pictures!

Empezaré por los jabones. Vienen 110 gramos de producto en cada uno, y están hechos con ingredientes naturales y veganos.

I will start with their soaps. Each one has 110 grams of product, and they have been made with natural and vegan ingredients.

Aquí podéis ver los ingredientes de los mismos. El de arriba tiene un olor a lima riquísimo, y el de abajo, a lavanda. Hacen jabón muy fácilmente, y huelen increíblemente bien. El Lem'n Lime ha sido mi jabón preferido del verano junto con el jabón líquido de Mojito de Etnia, y el Purple Haze me gusta mucho para los días más otoñales, porque el olor me resulta muy relajante.

Here you can see the ingredients of the soaps. The yellow one has a pleasant lime scent, and the one below, smells to lavender. They work so easily and smell incredibly nice. The Lem'n Lime has been my favorite soap during the summer, with the Mojito liquid soap form Etnia. I love the Purple Haze for autumn, because the scent is so relaxing.

El Lem'n Lime reduce el exceso de sudoración (por lo que es perfecto para las axilas), dice aumentar la autoestima, y la fuerza mental a través de la aromaterapia.

Por otro lado, el Purple Haze es calmante, relajante, antibacteriano y antiséptico.

Cada pastilla tiene un precio de 5'75$.

The Lem'n Lime decreases the excess of perspiration, boots self esteem and mental strength though aromatherapy.
On the other hand Purple Haze is calming, relaxing, antibacterial, and antiseptic.
Each piece is priced ar 5'75$.

El Tub Puck Coastal Calm es una bomba de baño con sales Epsom, aceites corporales y aceites esenciales. Se puede usar uno o medio por baño.

Sobre este no os puedo contar mi experiencia, puesto que el verano no anima demasiado a darse un baño. No suelo darme baños por el tema de ahorrar agua, pero a veces en invierno, después de haber hecho ejercicio o haber tenido un día duro, es una manera fantástica de relajarse, por lo que en cuanto lo pruebe os haré saber mi experiencia a través de las redes sociales.

Tiene un precio de 3$.

The Tub Puck Coastal Calm is a bath bomb with Epsom salts, body oils and essential oils. You can use one or a half in every bath.
On this I can not tell you my experience since the summer does not encourage me to have a bath. I do not usually have baths on the issue of saving water, but sometimes in winter, after having exercised or after a hard day, is a great way to relax, so as soon as I try it out I will let you known my experience through social networks.

El producto que me ha tenido loca son sus bálsamos labiales.

El que veis a la izquierda, que ya he terminado, es el Lip Lube Margarita, un bálsamo de labios vegano que he estado usando como loca durante el verano por su delicioso olor a pomelo y lima.

Ahora que el verano se aleja, he empezado a usar el Bee Balm Sweet OJ, que tiene un olorcito dulce a naranja para morirse. Como buena valenciana que soy, el olor a naranja me vuelve loca.

Son productos naturales y muy hidratantes. La sensación al llevarlos puestos no es nada pegajosa, pero sí suave y agradable. Cada uno tiene un precio de 4'25$.

The product that I've been crazy about is their lip balms.
The one you see on the left, which I have already finished, is the Lip Lube Margarita, a vegan lip balm that I've been using like crazy during the summer for its delicious scent of grapefruit and lime.
Now that the summer is coming to its end, I started using the Bee Balm Sweet OJ, which has a sweet orange smell to die for. As good Valencian that I am, the orange scent drives me crazy.
They are natural and very moisturizing. The feeling to wear them is not sticky, but soft and pleasant. Each one is priced at $4'25.

Por último, os presento un producto muy curioso, su Skin Souffle.

Es una crema para el rostro en formato mousse. Es bastante hidratante, por lo que la recomendaría para pieles secas o normales. La textura es muy agradable, huele genial, y los ingredientes son también naturales, por lo que es un producto mucho más beneficioso para la piel que un producto con ingredientes químicos.

Tiene un precio de 16$ por 50 ml de producto.

Finally, I present you a very curious product, their Skin Souffle.
It's a face cream in a mousse format. It is quite moisturizing, therefore I recommend it for normal to dry skin. The texture is very nice, smells great, and the ingredients are natural too, so it is a much more beneficial for the skin than any product with chemical ingredients.
It costs $16 for 50 ml of product.

Como ya sabréis, soy una enamorada de los productos naturales, por lo que os recomiendo que, si tenéis la oportunidad, probéis esta marca, especialmente sus jabones y bálsamos.

As you already know, I'm a lover of the natural products, so I recommend, if you have the opportunity, to try the products of this brand, specially their soaps and lip balms.

iHerb (Haul)

Hace cosa de un mes hice un pedido conjunto a iHerb con las chicas del blog Toruka. Era nuestro primer pedido, así que íbamos un poco "con el miedo en el cuerpo", por eso de que a alguna gente se le pierden los paquetes, e iHerb no se hace cargo... Entre unas cosas y otras no he tenido tiempo de enseñaros lo que compramos, pero ahora, después de más de tres semanas desde que recibimos los productos, creo que, además de mostraros los mismos, puedo dar mi opinión al respecto sobre cada uno (si os interesa alguno en particular puedo hacer un review más en profundidad). Las cositas que pedimos son las que podéis ver en la foto. El pedido tardó unos 10 días en llegar (no es mucho, pero es demasiado si estás con la incertidumbre de si llegará o no...). Yo sólo voy a enseñaros 5 de los productos de la foto, y podréis ver review del resto en el blog de Toruka (donde ya tenéis el review del jabón de Kirk's Castle).
Por supuesto, y como siempre, todos los productos que os muestro están libres de testeo en animales o sufrimiento animal. Además (al menos, los míos), son productos sin ingredientes de origen animal.

About a month ago I placed a order to iHerb with the girls from Toruka's Blog. It was our first order, so we were a bit "with fear in the body", so that some people have lose their orders in the mail, and iHerb doesn't do nothing if this hapens... Between one thing and another I have not had time to show you what we buy, but now, after more than three weeks since we received the products, I think, besides showing you the items, I can give my opinion on each of them (if you are interested ina in-depht review from any of the produtcs, just let me know and I will do it for you). The things we ordered are the ones that you can see in the photo. The order took about 10 days to arrive (not much, but it's quite long if you're uncertain whether it will arrive to your home or not ...). I'm just going to show you 5 of the products from the picture, and if you want to see a review on the rest you would see it in some days at Toruka's blog (where you now have a review on the Kirk's Castle Soap).
Of course, and as always, all products that I show are free from animal testing or animal suffering.

Empezaré por el más marginado de la foto, el Tea Tree Oil (Aceite de Árbol de Té). Soy una gran fan de este producto, ya que tiene múltiples usos. Mi preferido es el de secar granitos. No os mentiré, si el grano ya está fuera, poco va a hacer, pero si está "saliendo" o notáis que lo va a hacer, aplicad un poquito de producto sobre la zona conflictiva, y al día siguiente os habréis olvidado de que en esa zona estuvo a punto de aparecer un grano.
El aceite de árbol de té también sirve para eliminar verruguitas, hemorroides, herpes,  picadoras de mosquito, encías inflamadas, tratar la caspa, los hongos, las quemaduras... Vamos, que como veis es un producto muy completo (como he dicho antes, si os interesa que os hable de sus funciones y tratamientos más en profundidad, puedo dedicarle otro post).
Lo que menos me gusta del producto es que no incluye dosificador, por lo que se hace algo incómodo. Yo he trasvasado el aceite a otro envase con dosificador para facilitar el uso.
Contiene 60ml, y tiene un precio de 11'28$, mucho más barato de lo que me cuesta en España.

I will start with the most marginalized of the photo, the Tea Tree Oil. I'm a big fan of this product, because it has multiple uses. My favorite is to dry the pimples. I wouldn't lie to you, if the pimple is already out, this product would not do very much, but if it is "getting out" or you notice that you will have a pimple in a particular place soon,  just apply a little product on the conflict zone, and the next day ye shall have forgotten that in that area was going to appear a pimple.
The tea tree oil also serves to eliminate warts, hemorrhoids, herpes, biting from mosquitos, swollen gums, treat dandruff, fungus, burns ... We, as you can see is a very complete product (as I said before, if you are interested in knowing a bit more of any product or how it works, I can do a review in other post).
What I like least is that the product does not include dispenser, so it can be quite unconfortable for me. I have decanting the oil to another container with dispenser to facilitate the use.
It contains 60ml and is priced at $11.28, much cheaper than what it costs me in Spain.

El siguiente producto que compré fue un desodorante en stick Crystal. Hace tiempo que estoy probando distintos desodorantes, procurando que sean más naturales. No me gusta usar productos antitranspirantes, ya que el cuerpo debe eliminar las toxinas, y no es sano hacer una "barrera" contra ello, por lo que prefiero usar productos no antitranspirantes, pero que neutralicen/eliminen el olor. El producto está hecho de sales minerales naturales que producen una barrera contra las bacterias que causan el olor. Es hipoalergénica, no contiene fragancias ni parabenos, no contiene Cloridrato de Aluminio (?), y la avalan centros de tratamientos contra el cáncer. Para usar el producto hay que humedecer la piedra en agua y pasarla por la zona como cualquier otro desodorante.
Os adelanto que para gente con una sudoración muy fuerte, probablemente no sea un producto efectivo. He oído que existen otros productos similares para gente con mayor sudoración, pero para mi, este me cumple su función, especialmente en estos meses fríos en los que el cuerpo no suda apenas (vamos, si sudo algo es por entrar en tiendas, el calor del metro, etc.).
Yo compré el stick tamaño viaje, y me costó 1'70$. Vamos, tirado de precio.

The next product I bought was a Crystal Stick Deodorant. I have been trying for a long time different deodorants, trying to find more natural ones. I hate to use antiperspirant, since the body must eliminate toxins, and it is not healthy to do a barrier against it, so I prefer not to use antiperspirant products, but to neutralize / eliminate the smell. The product is made of natural mineral salts that produce a barrier against odor-causing bacteria. Is hypoallergenic, contains no fragrances or parabens, contains no aluminum chloridrate (?), and it is endorsed by Cancer Treatment Centers. To use the product you have to moisten the stone in water and pass it gently through the area, like any other deodorant.
I advance to people with a strong sweating, this will probably not be an effective product for you. Y por fin, llegamos a la parte "más jugosa" de mi compra, las brochas de Real Techniques. He de decir que después de un mes usándolas no han perdido ni un solo pelo, y me tienen completamente enamorada. Además, los precios de iHerb son mucho más bajos que en la mayor parte de las tiendas (especialmente las tiendas físicas en España, que normalmente doblan el precio respecto a esta web).
La primera que os enseño es la Setting Brush, la cual yo utilizo para aplicar el iluminador, ya que, para mi, tiene la forma perfecta. En iHerb la encontramos por 7'99$, un precio irrisiorio para la calidad de las mismas.

I must say that after a month using them, they have not lost a single hair, and I am completely in love with them. La segunda fue la brocha de colorete. No sabía si comprar esta brocha, puesto que hay gente a la que no le gusta nada, debido a que es bastante más grande que la mayor parte de las brochas de colorete. Sin embargo, me alegro muchísimo de haberla comprado. Gracias a la forma que tiene, podemos coger el producto que necesitemos con la puntita de la brocha, y luego difuminarlo bien por el rostro. Hay gente que la prefiere para aplicar polvos para sellar o bronceador, pero a mi la función de brocha de colorete me la cumple a la perfección. En iHerb tiene un precio de 8'99$.

The second one was the blush brush. I didn't know whether to buy this brush or not, because there are people who do not like it at all, 'cause it is much bigger than most blush brushes. However, I'm glad I have bought this. Because of the shape it has, we can get the product we need with the tip of the brush, and then blend it well on the face. Some people prefer to use this brush to apply the finishing powder or bronzer, but it works so well for me as a blush brush. On iHerb is priced at $8.99.

En resumen, mi experiencia con iHerb ha sido muy buena. Me molesta el hecho de que no permitan pagar con Paypal, sólo con tarjeta de crédito, y que si se pierde el paquete se lavan las manos y tú no tienes ninguna opción de reclamar. Volveré a pedir pronto seguramente puesto que con el miedo de que no llegasen las cosas, no quise pillar más cosas que quería traerme a casa.
