Os traigo hoy el review de un producto de Skin79 que empecé a usar hace meses: la mascarilla fresca Apple Mint.

Today I bring you the review of a product by Skin79 that I started using ome months ago: the Apple Mint fresh mask.

Es una mascarilla de efecto calmante, ideal para piel "estresada". Según la web de la marca absorbe el exceso de grasa, los residuos y la queratina al mismo tiempo que refresca, alivia y suaviza la piel irritada, y retensa la piel que ha perdido su elasticidad.

It is a calming mask, ideal for "stressed" skin. According to the website of the brand, it absorbs the excess of oil, residue and keratin while refreshes, soothes and softens irritated skin, and tightens the skin that has lost its elasticity.

Aunque la información de la mascarilla está sólo en inglés y coreano, Skin79 Spain añade una pegatina con el modo de uso en castellano, lo cual se agradece.

La mascarilla ha de aplicarse sobre la piel limpia dando un suave masaje, y dejar que actúe unos 10 ó 15 minutos. Tras ese tiempo, podemos retirar la mascarilla con agua tibia.
Viene con una cucharilla para sacar la cantidad justa de producto que necesitemos, sin contaminarlo con las manos, y me parece muy útil.

The mask has to be applied over clean skin, massaging gently, and letting it work for about 10 to 15 minutes. After that time, we can remove the mask with warm water.
Comes with a spoon to get the right amount of product we need, without contaminating it with our hands, and I find it very useful.

El producto es de color verde, y la textura es espesa y fresca. Contiene pequeños granos gracias a los cuales, durante el proceso de aplicar la mascarilla, exfoliamos suavemente la piel. La sensación al aplicar la mascarilla es muy agradable y fresca, y supongo que de ahí viene lo del "efecto desestresante".

The product is green, and the texture is thick and fresh. It contains small granules which, during the process of applying the mask, gently exfoliate the skin. The feeling when applying the mask is very nice and cool, and I supouse that's why they say that is perfect for stressed skin.

Personalmente, me está funcionando genial esta mascarilla, y me encanta que sea un "dos en uno" (exfoliante y mascarilla). La aplico una vez por semana, y, aunque la tengo desde hace un par de meses o tres (aunque algunas semanas me olvido de usarla, todo sea dicho), aún me queda un montón, así que cunde. Me encanta cómo me deja la piel. Además, aunque endurece, no se vuelve excesivamente tirante conforme se va secando como pasa con otras que dejan la cara tiesa (como las de arcilla verde). Al retirarla me queda la piel más limpia y luminosa, pero sin brillos.

Personally, I find that this mask works great for me, and I love that it is a "two in one" (exfoliant and mask). 
I apply it once a week, and although I have since a couple of months or three ago (I should say too that some weeks I forget to use it), I still have a lot of it left, so it lasts quite a lot. I love how it leaves my skin. Furthermore, although it hardens a bit, it doesn't become too tight as other masks I've tried (like green clay). 
When I remove it, the skin is clean and bright but without being greasy at all.

Hoy os dejo con un blog de los que tenía guardados en la "recámara" para no dejar esto mucho tiempo abandonado, pero tengo que avisar de que tengo el blog algo pausado porque estoy "recién operada", y no me encuentro del todo bien, por lo que he decidido bajar el ritmo con el blog. Espero que lo entendáis.

En el post de hoy vengo a hablaros sobre mi tónico preferido, ya que pronto se me va a acabar, y creo que es el momento perfecto para hablaros de él antes de enseñarlo en productos terminados.
El tónico es de la marca Dr. Alkaitis, cuyo lema adoro: "Si no puedes comerlo, ¡no lo pongas en tu piel!". Sus productos están hechos con ingredientes orgánicos tan naturales que pueden incluso ser ingeridos (hierbas, vegetales, frutas,...)
Actualmente han cambiado el packaging, por lo que mis fotos no reflejan el diseño del producto actual, pero podéis verlo en su web americana.

Today I'm here with with a blog post that I was waiting to publish while I'm on a sick leave, and I have to say that I'm not uploading as much entries because I got a surgery done some days ago, and I do not feel quite right, so I decided to slow down with the number of blogposts. I hope you understand it. 

In today's post I come to speak about my favorite tonic, because I will finish it soon, and I think it is the perfect time to tell you about it before showing it to you on a "finished products" post.
The tonic is by the brand Dr. Alkaitis, whose slogan I love: "If you can not eat it, do not put it on your skin!". Their products are made with natural organic ingredients so that they can even be ingested (herbs, vegetables, fruits, ...) 
Currently, they have changed the packaging, so my pictures do not reflect the actual product design, but you can see it in its American website.

El "Organic Soothing Gel", a pesar del nombre, es un tónico más líquido que gel, pero con la densidad perfecta para poder aplicarlo con las manos (limpias). Se trata de un tónico antibacteriano compuesto de hierbas orgánicas certificadas, flores, y alcohol, que prometen aliviar los síntomas de la piel irritada y sensible. Es ideal para condiciones como acné (mi caso), eccemas o rosácea (también mi caso), y también sirve para aliviar la piel tras la depilación o daño solar. El producto no lleva ningún tipo de ingrediente químico, sintétetico, u organismos genéticamente modificados.
A la derecha podéis ver la lista de todos sus ingredientes. Aquellos con un "*" tienen certificado de crecimiento orgánico, y aquellos con "º" significa que han sido obtenidos de forma ética (podéis hacer click para ver la imagen en grande).

The "Organic Soothing Gel", despite the name, is a tonic with more of a liquid consistency than a gel one, but with the perfect density to apply it with our hands (clean). On the right you can see the list of all the ingredients. Those with a "*" have a certified of organic growth, and those with "º" ethical and sustainably obtained (you can click to see it closer).

El tónico se usa aplicándolo sobre la piel limpia con las yemas de los dedos, masajeando hasta que se absorbe.
Tiene un olor muy natural, y la sensación al aplicarlo en el rostro es fresca y agradable. Me encanta porque, pese a estar hecho de ingredientes naturales, es el tónico que mejor me funciona. Siento que realmente calma mi piel, y, cuando lo uso, lo noto muchísimo, no sé si por la propia acción antibacteriana del producto, o por su buena función a la hora de ayudar a que se absorban otros tratamientos, pero me ayuda a controlar las imperfecciones de la piel, y noto mejoría.

The tonic is used by applying it to clean skin with fingertips and massaging until absorbed. 
It has a very natural smell, and the feel when applied to the face is nice and cool. I love it because, despite it being made ​​from natural ingredients, is the tonic that works the best for me. I feel that it really calms my skin, and when I use it, I can really tell a difference, I do not know if because of the antibacterial action of the product itself, or its good role in helping to absorb other treatments, but it helps me to control imperfections of the skin, and I noticed an improvement.

Lo único que no me gusta es que el dispensador que tiene tiende a quedarse "sucio" con algo de producto seco del uso anterior, aunque lo han cambiado, por lo que espero que no pase con el nuevo diseño.
El otro "contra" es el precio, que ronda los 50 y algo euros (según dónde se compre, el mío fue un regalo). Es mucho dinero, pero también es cierto que dura mucho tiempo, no tiene ingredientes peligrosos, y, lo más importante: funciona (al menos a mi, y a las personas que conozco que lo han probado). Es un producto de alta gama que no está al alcance de todo el mundo (por desgracia), pero creo que merece mucho la pena.

The only thing I dislike is that the dispenser tends to get "dirty" with some dry product, although they have changed it now, so I hope that this does not happen with the new design. 
The other "con" is the price, which is around 50-something euros (depending where you buy it, mine was a gift). It's a lot of money, but it is also true that it lasts quite a lot of time, has no hazardous ingredients, and most important: it really works (at least to me, and people I know who tried it). It is a high-end product whose price might not be available to everyone (unfortunately), but I think it's really worth it.

It's definitely my favorite tonic, and would buy it again and again if I could. As it is an expensive product, I try to alternate it with other natural tonics when I don't have bad skin to make it last longer. Expires in 12 months, and for the alternate use I give it, the expiration date is perfect.

Sin duda es mi tónico preferido, y lo compraría una y otra vez si me fuese posible. Como es un producto caro, procuro alternarlo con otros tónicos naturales cuando no tengo la piel mal para que me dure más tiempo. Caduca 12 meses, y con el uso alterno que yo le doy es el tiempo perfecto para gastarlo.

¡Lo prometido es deuda! Tal y como os dije anteriormente, voy a hablaros hoy de los dos productos para el rostro que me faltaron el el post de El Outlet del Maquillaje.

En primer lugar, hablaré de una BB Cream que sé que estabais deseando ver. Se trata de la Scandal Rose Vanilla de Skin79.
Como ya sabéis, las BB Creams de ésta marca son mis preferidas. Llevaba mucho tiempo detrás de ésta BB Cream, ya que cuando la probé en la tienda física de la marca, me gustó muchísimo.
Como su propio nombre indica, huele a una mezcla entre rosas y vainilla que, personalmente, me encanta.

First of all, I'll talk about a BB Cream that many of you were looking forward to seeing. This is the Scandal Rose Vanilla by Skin79. 
As you know, the BB Creams from this brand are my favorite ones. I had been wanting to have this BB Cream for so long, because when I tried it on their physical store, I liked it very much.
As its name suggests, it smells like a mix of roses and vanilla, that I personally love.

El bote contiene 35 gramos de producto.
Esta BB Cream está indicada para pieles sensibles, y contiene complejo de rosas para calmar la piel irritada. Tiene un SPF de 50+ PA+++, y aunque es hidratante, controla la grasa, lo que es genial para mi piel mixta/grasa pero deshidratada.

The packaging contains 35 grams of product.
This BB Cream is indicated for sensitive skin and contains rose complex to soothe irritated skin. It has a SPF 50+ PA+++, and although it is moisturizing, it controls my oil, which is great for my combination/oily but dehydrated skin.

En el lateral de la caja podemos ver una pegatina con la información de la BB Cream, lo cual, para personas como yo que no sabemos coreano, viene genial.
Como bien indica, el efecto no es completamente mate, pero a mi no me resulta excesivamente jugoso, y "se porta muy bien" en mi piel. Cuando quiero un acabado más mate, simplemente añado unos polvos por encima.

On the side of the box we can see a sticker with the information of the BB Cream in Spanish, which for people like me who do not know Korean, is great.
As indicated, the effect is not completely matte, but for me is not too juicy, and looks very well and natural on my skin. When I want a more matte finish, I simply add some powder on top.

El dispensador me parece muy higiénico, y además permite que el producto no esté más rato en contacto con el exterior del necesario.

En cuanto a cobertura, cubre algo menos que la Vital Orange de la misma marca. Yo diría que es una cobertura media/alta, modulable. Por alguna razón, al guardar la foto, se guardó en una calidad algo baja, y eso hace que se vea rara, pero creo que os podéis hacer una idea de la cobertura. El resultado que véis es con dos capas finas aplicadas con el clon de la Beauty Blender de Vanity Tools. La cobertura no es total, y cuando tengo peor la cara tengo que usar algo más de producto en zonas concretas, pero como podéis ver, está muy bien. Además, mucha gente dice que le marcaba los poros, pero yo noto que los disimula bastante bien (como ya sabéis cada piel es un mundo). Respecto a tono, es similar al de la Vital Orange, aunque al ser una textura más ligera, se me adapta mejor durante el invierno.
Contiene tratamiento antimanchas y antiarrugas, y tiene un precio de 23'90€.
A mi me está encantando, y creo que la recomendaría para todo tipo de piel, excepto pieles bastante secas.

It contains whitening and wrinkle treatment, and is priced at €23'90.
I've been loving this one, and I think that I would recommend it for all skin types except dry skin.

El otro producto que vengo a enseñaros es la espuma limpiadora Creamy Latte Greentea de Missha. Ésta es la versión para pieles mixtas/grasas, aunque en la web podéis encontrar una para pieles cansadas y apagadas (Fresa) o para pieles secas (Chocolate).

The other product I come to show you is the Creamy Latte Greentea cleansing foam by Missha. This is the version for combination/oily skin, but on their website you can find one for tired and dull skin (Strawberry) or another for dry skin (Chocolate).

El té verde ayuda a controlar la producción de sebo, sin resecar.
He de decir que la primera vez que la usé sí noté la piel un poco tirante, pero después no me ha vuelto a pasar.

Green tea helps to control sebum production without drying.
I have to say that the first time I used it I did notice the skin a little tight, but it didn't happen again since then.

Detrás del bote encontramos las indicaciones en inglés: aplicar la cantidad adecuada en las manos húmedas para hacer espuma, y limpiar el rostro. Después, retirar el producto con agua templada.

On the back of it we found the indications in english: apply an appropriate amount onto wet hands to make rich lather and cleanse the face. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

El dispensador del bote es muy típico, no tiene nada de especial, y vienen 172 ml de producto.

The dispenser of the cleansing foam is very average, there is nothing special, and comes with 172 ml of product.

Necesitamos poquísimo producto para cada uso, pues hace un montón de espuma enseguida, así que el bote cunde mucho. A mi me está encantando, y sí es cierto que noto la piel bastante menos grasa (aunque el frío de Madrid también ayuda).
A día de hoy es mi limpiadora preferida, ya que, además de gustarme mucho el efecto en mi piel, me huele genial. Además, cuesta 7'95€, que me parece muy buen precio para la cantidad de producto que viene y lo poco que hay que utilizar.

En conclusión, son dos productos que me encantan y recomiendo al 100%.

PMD Personal Microderm

Hoy os traigo un review sobre un aparato por el que me habéis estado preguntando bastante, mi PMD. Se trata de un aparato para realizar microdermoabrasiones en casa, a un precio más económico. Entendedme bien, con económico me refiero a comparando con lo que nos costaría realizarnos éste tipo de tratamiento semanalmente en centros especializados, porque no es un aparato barato. Tiene múltiples fines, como reducir cicatrices, manchas de sol y arrugas, y esto lo consigue removiendo la piel muerta del rostro ayudando a que esa piel se regenere para mejorar nuestro aspecto.

Today I bring you a review on a device for which I've been asking a lot, my PMD. 
It is an tool for performing microdermabrasion at home, at a lower price. Please, don't get me wrong! With "lower" I mean compared to what it would cost to do some similar treatment in a specialized center doing it ourselves, but it is not a cheap device. 
It has multiple purposes, such as reducing scars, sun spots and wrinkles, and this is achieved by removing the dead skin of the face helping the skin to regenerate to improve our appearance.

Funciona conectándolo a la corriente, e incluye distintos tipos de enchufe, lo cual nos resultará muy útil para llevarlo de viaje. Además, viene con cinco cabezales.
Hay dos tamaños de cabezales. Los pequeños sirven para el rostro, y los grandes para el cuello. Hay distintos colores según la intensidad: los azules para piel sensible, los verdes para piel normal, y los rojos, que son los que proporcionan una exfoliación más intensa. Yo tengo un mix de verdes y azules, que son los que vienen por defecto con la PMD (dos azules y uno verde de los pequeños, y uno de cada de los grandes).

It works by connecting to the electrical current, and includes different types of plug, which will be really useful to take with us if we have to travel. It also comes with five discs.
There are two sizes of discs. The smalls are more suitable for the face, and the larger ones for the body. There are different colors depending on the intensity: the blues for sensitive skin, the greens for normal skin, and the red ones, which are those that provide a more intense exfoliation. I have a mix of green and blue, which are the ones that come by default with the PMD (two blue and one green in the small size, and one of each of the bigger ones).

Para saber cómo funciona, aquí tenéis un vídeo (bastante repetitivo, no os lo voy a negar). Básicamente, nos enseña como utilizar el aparato: lo pasamos por el rostro con la piel estirada, sin detenernos, y no pasando más de dos veces por el mismo sitio. Además, deberemos acompañar el tratamiento con una limpieza profunda previa, y un tónico y una buena hidratante para después del tratamiento.

Basically, it teaches us how to use the device: we have to use it through our face with stretched skin, without stopping, and not going more than twice in the same place. In addition, we previously have to do a deep cleaning of our face, and use a tonic and a good moisturizer for after treatment.

Súe Hydrating Gel de Skin79 (el producto más hidratante que tengo, aunque es una minitalla, y actualmente la reservo para cuando uso la PMD).

Skin79's Súe Hydrating Gel (the more moisturizing product that I have, although it is a sampler, and I currently reserve it for when I use the PMD).

Inmediatamente después de su uso, noto como me "arde" la cara, pero lo interpreto como una buena señal (vamos, que el producto funciona). Cualquier cosa que pongo en la piel me irrita bastante tras el tratamiento y durante los dos días posteriores, pero después mi piel se calma y vuelve a la normalidad. Tras la primera vez fue cuando observé un mayor cambio en mi piel. La tenía muy muy roja e irritada por una serie de marquitas que me habían salido en la zona alta del pómulo, y como podéis ver, se redujeron bastante.

Immediately after use, I feel like a "burn feeling" on the face, but I interpret it as a good sign (I mean, with this I feel that the product works). Anything I put on my skin feels quite irritating after treatment and the two days after, but then my skin calms down and returns to normalily. After the first time was when I noticed a major change on my skin. I had very very red and irritated skin by a number of little marks that I had left in the upper cheekbone, and as you can see, it reduced notably.

El problema es que por alguna razón, desde ese primer tratamiento, no he vuelto a notar cambios en mi piel, lo que resulta bastante decepcionante... Igualmente, he de decir que estoy pasando por una época de estrés, y esto se refleja inmediatamente en mi piel: últimamente he vuelto a tener aún más brotes de acné, que me cuesta eones que se reduzcan, especialmente ahora, que se acercan "mis días del mes".
De todas formas, continuaré utilizando el aparato, y en unos meses os contaré si han mejorado los resultados. También es cierto que indican que se pueden observar cambios más visibles a partir de la quinta vez, y yo sólo llevo tres, así que, lo dicho, insistiré con el tratamiento, y os actualizaré más adelante.

The problem is that for some reason, from the first time I did the treatment, I haven't noticed changes in my skin, which is quite disappointing... Also, I have to say I'm going through a lot of stress, and this is immediately reflected on my skin: lately I have been having even more breakouts, it costs me A LOT to reduce them, especially as I am approaching "my days of the month ".

Anyway, I will continue using the device, and in a few months will tell if have improved outcomes. It is also true that they indicate that you can see visible changes after the fifth time, and I only took three, so as I just said, I will insist with the treatment, and I'll update you later.

Si os realizáis un tratamiento de este tipo, no olvidéis usar protección solar los días siguientes, ya que si no la usáis, vuestra piel podría resultar dañada. Yo con esto no tengo problema, ya que siempre me cuido mucho del sol. I have no problem with this, since I always care much about the sun.
