Happy Monday, ladies! For those who don't follow me on Instagram, nope, I have not re-suscribed to Birchbox, but they invited me to an event in Madrid, "Verano Birchbox", and I decided to go with Medusseando because I wanted to meet her "in person".

En el evento nos regalaron la Birchbox de Julio, y os pregunté si os apetecía que hiciese desglose de productos en el blog para ver lo que traía. Como podéis ver, se trata de una colaboración con la revista Woman, y el diseño de la caja me ha gustado mucho.

They gifted us the July Birchbox at the event, and I asked if you wanted me to do a product breakdown in the blog to see what was inside this month's box. As you can see, it is a collaboration with Woman magazine, and I really liked the design of the box.

El primer producto era el "producto estrella" de la caja, que recibieron todas las suscriptoras, e incluso pudieron escoger el color, lo que me parece una idea genial que deberían hacer siempre (aunque desconozco si a todas les llegó el color escogido). Se trata del Lil'Lip Lube Pencil de Laqa&Co. en el tono Menatour, un moradito suave que la verdad es que me gusta bastante. Por lo poco que he podido encontrar de la marca, parece que no testa en animales.
El labial en tamaño venta contiene 3'7gr, y cuesta 15€, por lo que la minitalla de 2gr. que venía en la caja está valorada en 8'10€.
The first product was the "flagship product" of the box, which received all the subscribers, and they were even able to choose the color, which I think is a great idea that they should always do (I don't really know if all their subscribers received the color they picked). This is the Lil'Lip Lube Pencil from Laqa&Co. in the shade Menatour, a soft purple that I really liked. From the little information that I could find of this brand, it seems that their products are not tested on animals.

El otro "producto estrella" de la caja, que también recibieron todas las suscriptoras, es el Rejuvenecedor Facial Encimático de Vasanti, producto vegano y cruelty-free, sin parabenes ni sulfatos, con un 99% de ingredientes naturales. Dicen que el resultado es una piel luminosa, hidratada, sin rastro de fatiga, imperfecciones, ni rojeces. Este producto tenía muchísimas ganas de probarlo, pero me chafó mucho ver que, a pesar del tamaño del bote, el producto sólo llega hasta donde pone "Exfoliating Cleanser", lo que viene a ser que 3/4 del bote vienen vacíos... además, el producto venía sin sellar, por lo que no sé si fue un "error" y mi bote estaba usado, o realmente viene tan poca cantidad*. Sea cual sea la realidad, si hubiese pagado por esta caja, eso me hubiese molestado mucho.
El producto en tamaño venta contiene 120g. a un precio de 32€. La muestra recibida, supuestamente, contiene 20g. (no sé si será verdad o no), por lo que su valor sería de 5'33€.

The other box "flagship product" from this box, which also received all subscribers, is the Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator by Vasanti, a vegan and cruelty-free product without parabens or sulfates, and 99% of natural ingredients. They say the result is hydrated and rejuvenated skin, with no sign of fatigue, imperfections, or redness. I really wanted to try this product, but I was so disappointed to see that, despite the size of the tube, the product only goes up to where it says "Exfoliating Cleanser", what comes to be that 3/4 of the tube are empty... in addition, the product came unsealed, so I don't know if it was a "mistake" and my tube was used, or this was how it had to be*. Whatever the truth is, if I had paid for this product, that would have really bothered me.

Después encontrábamos un champú de mora de uso frecuente de la marca Bluemandarines. Todavía no lo he probado, pero huele genial, y pienso guardarlo para aprovecharlo cuando tenga que viajar en avión. Esta marca tampoco testa en animales.
El precio por 400 ml. es de 5'90 €, por lo que la muestra recibida de 40 ml. tiene un valor de 0'59 €.
After that, we found a mulberry shampoo for frequent use from the brand Bluemandarines. I have not tried it yet, but it smells great, and I'll save it for the next time that I have to go anywhere on a plane. This brand is also cruelty-free.

Otro de los productos de la caja que más me alegró recibir fue el bálsamo para ojos de Balance Me. Para el tipo de producto que es, este sí me pareció un buen tamaño para una muestra, ya que vendría a ser la mitad de la talla original. Parece ser que éste también es un producto cruelty-free.
La talla original contiene 15ml por 27'50 €, lo que quiere decir que la minitalla de 7ml está valorada en 12'83€.
One of the products that I liked the most to receive was the wonder eye cream by Balance Me. For the type of product it is, this was really a good size for a sample, because it has half the amount of the original size. It seems that this is also a cruelty-free product.

El penúltimo producto de mi caja es un acelerador del bronceado de la marca E'lifexir. Yo ya sabéis que no soy de ponerme morena, y menos aún torrándome al sol, por lo que a mi éste producto, ni fu ni fa... eso sí, en mi casa enseguida llegaron voluntarias dispuestas a quedarse con él. Desconozco si ésta es una marca libre de crueldad animal o no.
El tamaño venta contiene 150 ml por un precio de 11'95 €, por lo que el valor de la minitalla de 25 ml. sería de 1'99€.
The penultimate product of my box is a tanning accelerator from the brand E'lifexir. I already know that I am not going to tan, at least with a sunbath, so to me this product is not really interesting at all... but in my house they are plenty of volunteers to use them. I don't know if this brand is cruelty-free or not.

El último producto de la caja fue una muestra de la crema facial hidratante para después del sol de ETNIA, marca que me gusta bastante, aunque el tamaño de la muestra es muy pequeño, la verdad. ETNIA no testa en animales.

El valor total de la caja es algo inferior al de mi caja de Junio (31'6€), aunque también diré que me parece bastante mejor que la anterior, ya que al menos no contenía productos reciclados de cajas anteriores, y los dos productos que anunciaban como "productos estrella de la caja" sí han llegado a todas las suscriptoras, no como pasó con la Beauty Blender. Además, me gustó ver que prácticamente todos los productos de la misma están libres de crueldad animal.
También, por lo que he podido ver por Instagram, este mes todas las cajas eran muy similares, casi idénticas, y en eso creo que han mejorado respecto al mes anterior, ya que hubo mucha disparidad en el valor de las distintas cajas. Aun así, y a pesar de que la caja me ha gustado mucho más que la de Junio, detalles como lo del exfoliante de Vasanti hacen que a mi parecer la caja "pinche", especialmente viendo que a algunas suscriptoras les ha llegado el producto completamente vacío (tema que espero que haya sido un fallo y Birchbox les solucione). La opinión general que he visto por IG es que a las suscriptoras les ha parecido una caja un poco "flojilla", y a mi, personalmente, me han parecido (salvo el labial y el contorno de ojos) muestras bastante pequeñas, y me llama la atención ver que este mes todos los productos eran muestras o minitallas, lo que hace que, a pesar de que los productos en sí me parece que componen una buena caja, los tamaños generales no me satisfarían si hubiese pagado por ella.
Conclusión: han mejorado en productos, pero fallan en tamaño de los mismos. A día de hoy, no tengo intención de "renovar mi suscripción", a menos que realmente vea un cambio en Birchbox, y piense que la inversión me merezca la pena.

The total value of the box is somewhat lower than my June Birchbox (€31.6), although I will say that this one seems much better than the last one, because at least they did not send recycled products from old boxes, and all the subscribers receivers the two products announced as the "star products of the box", which did not happened with the Beauty Blender. The general opinion I've seen on IG from their subscribers is that this box is a bit of a miss, and me personally, I think that (except the lip product and eye balm) all the samples were rather small, and it draws my attention to see that this month all the products were samples, and there weren't any full-sized products, which means that, even though the products themselves seem to make a good box, the general sizes would not satisfy me if I had paid for it.
Conclusion: the products are better, but the sizes are a fail. Right now, I have no intention to "renew my subscription" unless I really see a change in Birchbox, and think that the monthly investment really worths it.
