Hoy os traigo por fin el review de una de mis sombras preferidas, las de la marca Makeup Geek. Me he retrasado un poco por problemas personales, ¡pero hoy por fin puedo enseñarlas! En una entrada anterior os enseñé sus labiales rojos (incluido un con del Russian Red de Mac), los cuales también me encantaron, y en una entrada próxima os enseñaré sus eyeliners en gel.
Como veis, las que tengo son en el formato para paleta, y vienen en estas cajitas de cartón tan monas.
Today I could finally bring the review of one of my favorite eyeshadows ever, the ones from the brand Makeup Geek. I was delayed a bit due to personal problems, but today I can finally show them to all of you!
In a previous post I showed you their red lipsticks (including a Mac's Russian Red dupe), which I also loved, and in some next post I will show you their gel eyeliners.
As you can see, the ones I've got are eyeshadow refills to put in a palette, and they came in those cute cardboard boxes.
Como veis arriba por delante podemos ver el color de la sombra en cuestión, y al darle la vuelta al cartón encontramos el nombre de la sombra, ademas de los ingredientes (y, por supuesto, como siempre, es una marca cruelty-free).
As you see in the picture upside, we can see the colour of the eyeshadow that is inside the cardboard box on the front part, and if we flip the board we'll find the name of the eyeshadow, plus the ingredients (and, of course, as always, it's a cruelty-free brand).
Las sombras son de 26mm igual que las de Mac, y os entrarán en cualquier paleta hecha para estas medidas. Como podéis observar, sobran huecos. En los huecos restantes van la sombra de Hean que os enseñé en mi anterior haul a Maquillalia, además de una sombra y un colorete de Elf que espero enseñaros pronto, con lo que se me queda una paleta bastante completita.
They are 26mm eyehadows, just as the Mac ones, and you could put them into any palette made for these measures. As you can see, I have leftover holes. In the remaining gaps have my Hean eyeshadow which I showed you in my previous haul to Maquillalia, plus an eyeshadow and a blush by Elf that I hopefully show you soon, so I have a quite complete palette.
White Lies es una sombra blanca mate, clon de la Gesso de Mac. Es perfecta para las chicas pálidas a las que les guste iluminar con tonos mate.
White Lies is a white matte eyeshadow, a dupe for Mac's Gesso. It's perfect for pale girls who want to highlight some areas with matte shades.
Bitten is a brownish red quite dark an intense when we apply it with a primer.
Last Dance is a satin medium to deep plummy brown.
Burlesque es un tono parecido al Last Dance, aunque más borgoña y metalizado. Sin duda es uno de mis tonos preferidos, y la textura es fantástica.
Burlesque is similar to Last Dance, but more burgundy and metallic. Without a doubt this is one of my favorites, and the texture is just amazing.
Unexpected es un rosa amarronado mate, perfecto para transiciones. Es una versión "amoratada" de la sombra Tease de la Naked 2 de Urban Decay.
Unexpected is a matte pale brownish pink, perfect for transitions. It is a purplish version of the Tease eyeshadow from the Naked 2 Palette.
Purple Rain es un morado grisáceo, y es el tono que menos me gusta de todos. Sin prebase se transfiere a parches en el párpado.
Purple Rain is a greyish purple, and it's my least favourite from all of them. Without a primer, it goes a bit patchy on my eyelids.
Sensuous es una sombra morada con shimmer dorado (aunque en la web dicen que es plateado) preciosa. Si sola es genial, no me imagino con el Glitter Glue... ¡tiene que ser una pasada!
Sensuous is an amazing purple eyeshadow with golden shimmer (even in the website they say that it's silver). If alone looks that great, I wonder how would it look with the Glitter Glue. It should be amazing!
Corrupt es un negro negrísimo, el más negro de todas las sombras negras que he tenido nunca. In-cre-i-ble. Puede resultar un pelín tizosa, pero yo creo que el resultado merece la pena al 200%. Es la mejor sombra negra que podéis tener en vuestra colección.
Corrupt is a super intense black, the blackest black of all the black eyeshadows that I'd owned so far. In-cre-di-ble. It might be a bit chalky, but the result deserves it a 200%. Is the best black eyeshadow that you could ever own.
Aquí tenéis swatches de las mismas con una sola pasada del dedo y sin prebase. ¿No os parecen una pasada? ¡A mi me encantan! He tenido y tengo sombras de Mac de cuando todavía no testaban en animales, y os puedo decir que son perfectamente comparables, e incluso algunas me pigmentan mucho mejor que las de Mac.
Here are the swatches of the eyeshadows with a light touch of the finger without any primer. Don't they look so amazing? I really love them! I have had and I have yet eyeshadows from when Mac still weren't testing on animals, and I can say that they are perfectly comparable and even some of them much more and better pigmented than some Mac's.

Recomendaría sin duda las sombras de Makeup Geek, y tengo algunas pendientes de añadir a mi colección, como una de las últimas que han sacado a la venta, "Cosmopolitan", que es un clon mejorado de la sombra Expensive Pink de Mac. Además, recientemente incluyeron pigmentos en su marca, los cuales me muero de ganas de probar. En su web encontraréis también otras marcas cruelty-free como Nyx, Sugarpill o Manic Panic, además de las famosas Z-Palette. También podéis comprar un pack vegano que incluye una paleta Z-Palette junto con 9 sombras veganas en tonos verdes y neutros.

I definitely recommend the Makeup Geek's eyeshadows, and I have some remaining to add to my collection, like one of the last ones that were released for sale, "Cosmopolitan", which is an improved dupe of the Mac 's Expensive Pink eyeshadow. They also included pigments recently in their brand, which I'm dying to try. On their website you will also find other cruelty-free brands such as Nyx, Sugarpill or Manic Panic, besides the famous Z-Palette. You can also buy a vegan pack that includes a Z-Palette along with 9 vegan eyeshadows in green and neutral shades.
